Give me a couple of places you've lived and tell us a few pros and cons of the place. If it's only one, tell us anyways.
Where would you like to live, and why?
I've lived in the same town my whole life.
Disadvantage:
It's a small town - therefore less possibilities for things, not much to do, shopping isn't as good
Advantage:
It's a small town - people are, generally, more friendly, a LOT less traffic to worry with, and shopping isn't as stressful
East Texas:
Not too bad, as long as you're a cracker. I love the land, the general friendliness of the people, the laid-back atmosphere, and the cooking.
The biggest drawbacks are: the residual racism left there by years of bigotry and hatred, the blind nationalism, and the insane bible-thumping and the aftermath of all three mentalities combined. Luckily, not EVERYONE is like that, but there's way too much of all of those lurking around to feel comfortable there. Also: nothing happens there. You'd better be packing a book. Actually, bring a lot of books.
Los Angeles:
Plenty of places to go, lots of cool shit, it's a literal melting pot of cultures.
The shallowness and self-absorbed mentality of approximately half the population. They're all about status and appearance, and that's it. Most of the guys are either dense meatheads or cutthroat assholes, and most of the women are gold-diggers or plastic girls with the personality of a genuinely unfuckable hag.

St. Petersburg, Russia:
-Really nice big historical city. At the time I was there, fairly good public transport. More museums of any type then I could count. Beautiful countryside with palaces, lakes, and good mushroom and berry pickin'.
-Bad? It's in russia. Mafia/Crime/Corruption, poverty (prices same as USA, but people get paid a LOT less, if they get paid). Lots of building needing restoration and no money for it. A lot of anti-semitism still arround.
St. Louis, MO, USA.
--Good: In center of USA, hence close to everyone (or far form everyone). Reletivly big. Reletivly OK, just not my thing.
--Bad: Similar to Jake's bad about texas, more or less. WAAAAAAAAY to many bible thumpers. Racists from all races.

Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin - small, really just a town, but tries to pass itself off as a city at a mere 18,000 inhabitants. Right smack in the middle of the northern bible belt (upper midwest) and influenced such thereby that I was taught almost nothing of evolution as they carefully avoid inciting anger in the city. Racists abundantly prominent, particularily where Asians [Hmongs] are concerned. Little to no culture.
Good? Um... Despite the as-little-evolution-as-possible policy, one of the top high schools in a state which, while I was there, continuously scored in the top three states insofar as Education is concerned.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin - If you're into art, particularily theatre, there is a surprisingly large amount available although avant garde is slow to be accepted by the city's ridge and mainly religious older patrons of the arts. Beyond that, about the only thing to do is, so be prepared to be bored out of your mind. Milwaukee feels like a dead city when one walks around the streets. Evenings on the bar strips are about the only place I've noticed "life" outside of an indoor event at either the university or a play/gallery opening.
Giessen, Germany - Again this is a small town with a population similar to or a bit smaller than Wisconsin Rapids. However, there is an ever-active downtown where people are always out shopping, eating or just having lives outside of their homes. There are a few small dance clubs and a number of good bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, there is an American Army base here, so one has to be careful about speaking English openly in public. It's a real pain in the ass sometimes to have the soldiers start talking. They get terribly excited about an American female who isn't a dependent.
The city is mainly kept alive by the University and the Base, so nightlife is far better than expected for a population this size. They also have a fairly decent bus system with central hubs which make it easy to get from A to B without having to transfer more than once.
