Every time I hear this fucking song, I get all misty-eyed.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

So tell me something that brings a tear to your eye, no matter what it is.

"Amazing Grace" played by John Sebastion on his harmonica. I sob. My favorite talk show played it every day for WEEKS after September 11, 2001.

Pictures of Logan when she was a baby/toddler will often do it. The misty eyes are generally accompanied by bouts of "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww."

Not much any more. Probably won't do it again until the day my mom passes, and I dread that day.

Film - the moment when Stansfield mortally wounds the hitman in Leon and the camera quivers and pans down into the floor.

Oh, and the first "Stand up!" scene in The Elephant Man, where Treves sees Merrick for the first time and a tear spontaneously runs down his face as the camera turns.

TV - Jack's "last flight" with the nuke over the Mojave Desert prior to Mason coming out and taking his place in the cockpit. You may (and will) smirk, but I'm not a sentimental man, and I thought it was great stuff.

On Saturday I was in a classroom on base for some teachings and so on and our Sgt was talking about how we as new soldiers are picking up the torch for the soldiers of the past. He was talking about how "kids" as young as and younger than us were overseas in the first and second world wars fighting in trenches filled up to their chests in mud, water and corpses of their buddies. It brought a proud tear to my eye it did.

Music from The Legend of Zelda and Mario bring tears to my eyes sometimes too, those were the good ol days they were.
