Boyhood, like measles, is one of those complaints which a man should catch young and have done with, for when it comes in middle life it is apt to be serious.

Heh- the writer forgot the rest of the quote-> and if it's not grown out of by middle age, it NEVER will be.

"Grown up" men tend to be boring, but the other tend to be exhausting and frustrating.

Where the FUCK is that goddamn happy medium???

Right here baby...

Besides, I think most women suffer from "Where Have All The Good Men Gone Syndrome". We're still here, ya'll. We ain't goin' anywhere. Pay closer attention to that guy you dismiss a "friend", and you'll find one.

Right here baby...

Yeah, that's what they all say. ;)

I've found "Mr. Right" on more than one occasion. Eventually, something happened. Him, me, I don't know which but something! I think it's just human nature. That 'dream' man most women want doesn't exist because we all try to impress in the beginning of any relationship. As things turn more casual and true personality traits emerge, things change. That's just the way of it. If people were completely themselves when they met someone new, they would probably NEVER get a mate! LOL

Ok... so, where did all THAT come from? I'm going to lunch. :p

Sage words, too often dismissed. Truth, is, girls don't want a "good man", they just say they do, then go for anything but. Fuck 'em.

I agree with you on this, for both men AND women. I'm not saying you should meet in torn sweats and unbrushed hair, either. :p I think an honest session of "Good Traits, Bad Traits (http://www.nochicktrix.com/forum/showthread.php?p=97325#post97325)" will at least keep things in perspective. Another problem that is mostly with women is that they tend to think beyond the box. Instead of seeing what's in front of them they think about what the person 'could be'. That's disaster in the making.

Huh. That must be why I'm always alone- I never 'act'. What you see is what you get & if you don't like it, fuck off. At least that's pretty much what my attitude is.

BTW- all the 'good' men seem to be already married or gay- and that makes them UNATTAINABLE! If a woman happens to find one that's single, it's all in the timing- either the guy has just gotten divorced or widowered & carries a LOT of baggage around.

I neither married nor gay, and have no baggage, so what's left?

Abso-fucking-lutely! Thank you for pointing that out, Diva!

Dude, I've learned, you cannot be in love with, live with, be married to, committed to someone's POTENTIAL. Period. It might work for awhile, but eventually you're gonna go slapnut crazy.
