One of my pet peeves is feminist emails. You know the ones... They bash men and praise women for being wonderful creatures. They take the word BITCH and say it stands for Beautiful Intelligent something or other. Dude... you gals need to get laid. Don't get me wrong, I realize it's a man's world and to fully succeed you need a penis attached or in your mouth. But this feminist shit needs to go. Being hateful doesn't make you stronger... it makes you weak. Be strong as a human, not as a woman. If some guy walked up to me and called me a bitch I wouldn't say, "Yeah. Beautiful, Intelligent, Talented, Charming Human." I'd slap them upside the head and say, "Fuck you."

I very much consider myself to be a feminist...but that's just because I want equality. I was actually shocked when a class of mine was surveyed and there were only three feminists out of 60 students. Then again, it was Montana, and the perception was that if you were a feminist you were a militant man-hating lesbian.

For the most part that's what I loathe. People should be able to be equal without lowering the other side. In effect they're lowering themselves too. I'm not much into propoganda for anything, so it grates my nerves when I'm sent this kind of shit. Plus that 'empowerment' crap reeks of the self help tape era. Either that or the Little Train That Could...

I like empowerment and self-help, but I don't like what "feminism" has done to the male-female relationship. To me, it's not a sign of weakness for me if a man opens a door or gives up his seat or pays for dinner for me. That's respect in my mind, and I like it!

Men and women are NOT equal because men and women are NOT the same. Equal rights, hell yes! Equal, period, hell no! I think this is something a lot of feminists have failed to put more emphasis on. In the process, they have made lots of men gunshy when it comes to doing nice things for women.

So, open the goddamn door for me! ;)
