When you go to a restaurant what is the most important option out of these choices to make or break the experience?

Has to have good food. I have eaten in some places that look like they barely pass code but the food is sooo awesome! i do only go to those places if people i really trust say the food is good!!

Nothing beats a place with incredible food. It's worth dealing with shitty service or a crappy atmosphere. And if I want something cheap, I hit a fast food place with a dollar menu :)

yeah, good food usually (but not always) makes up for shitty service or crappy atmosphere...

being the picky person I am when it comes to food, if a restaurant doesn't have anything I want, there will be upset...ness...... ;)

A combonation. You have to at least have something going for all of those.

I picked good food as that is the most important, but to be perfect there has to be some athmosphere and good service too.

There is one mexican resturant here which used to be perfect, but now they changed location to a place closer to the city centre. I understand that they easier get more costumers then, but there are no athmosphere anymore and since they also have a coffee bar in the same room, its rather noisy :( only go there for the food

there is another mexican resturant which we tired for first time on my birthday. The atmposhere and service there was good, but the food was so, so

and yeah we like mexican food :D

I don't give a rats ass if the chow is served on mismatched aluminium camping plates at a picnic table underneath a raggedy tent if the food is good. Otherwise, I ain't spending money to eat there.

Ben and I went to this Mexican restaurant that I would consider as all of the above. The food was SCRUMPTIOUS. And they had redone it not too long ago and it looked awesome. The ceiling was black and had fiber optic lights in it to make it look like you were dining under the stars. The walls were bright colors, which normally would have looked tacky, but it was really classy looking. All the decor just tied it all together. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. Both of us ate for under $30...plus, it was .99 draft beer night. It was definitely worth it.

Great food will win over shit service, dank rooms and over pricing. Although the combo of good food and price beats that, too. But given one, I want good food, please!

Good food, definitely. We frequently order from this one Chinese place that has one of THE BITCHIEST front-counter ladies that I've ever met (which is why we always order stuff to be delivered), but their food is really cheap and really good.

I work as a Chef. I demand good food and service when I go out to eat. I expect no less than I would provide myself. It's not to be mean. I just know what good service should be like. And I don't accept anything below my standards.

I do care. Presentation is everything in my line of work. But when it comes to feeding myself I'll agree with you. I don't have to make my food look good then.

It's good to see someone in food/service gives a damn about their presentation. Too often it's just slapped together haphazardly. If I wanted that, i'd eat at home.

You missed: great wine list. Next best is a low corkage charge.
