I believe there is a creator. And Evolution.
jennafer, i agree with you on both accounts...with trepidation. the evolution part has me thinkin' so i'll ask you this: to what degree of evolution? are we talkin' dogs to wolves here or dogs to elephants?
aussie, thanks for thinkin'. i like that shit, but that's with the presumption that what i think means a damn. gimme some likelihood here then, which god would be more likely to be? buddha? allah? the hindu gods ifrit and shiva? the native american great spirit? i'm not tryin' to fuck with anyone here, i just wanna hear some thinkin'.

Ever seen the 13th Floor or the Matrix? What if we're just a simulation or something. What if nothing is real. What if advanced humans created us from another galaxy or something. I think whatever it is, our minds couldn't handle it. That's why we only use 10% of our brains conciously, or 5% somedays (drunk). We will never know. But if you have faith in something and that gets ya through the hard times, more power to ya.
damn! aussie, don't hold back.
jenn, if you care right now, descartes thought the same thing. he reasoned that there was some all-powerful demon that was deceiving us by creating everything around us to make sense, but at the same time being a massive deception. he was a christian and after postulating this he couldn't argue himself out of it.

There is a higher power for each person. My daughter right now calls her higher power(hp) "George", for me it's in my garden. I feel that our hp will not give us anything that we can't truly handle!! Those poor people in the WTC and on the planes they are lucky, they didn't suffer as much as their families.
Think about this, New Yorkers have the rep of being rude too uptight about anything and everything. My goodness, they are hugging, crying, and talking with each other!! I have actually heard some comments from NY'rs that life is way too short to ignore your neighbor.
Gotta go pick up one of my kids!!
I believe in G-d... but not an active G-d. I believe we choose our own destiny. Whichever path we take, fate creates the rest.

It seems I've been through both, and hopefully when I die. It will be over. Fuck an afterlife. I'm TIRED!!! Burnt the fuck out, Crispy. I know I chose my heartaches, but damn. To be honest, I would have traded places with anyone who lost their life. Not because I'm all mental and shit, but because they all had someone. I do too. I'm wrong. I'm like going through alot of emotions right now, and I need to just focus on the world. And of course, getting a grip. I am thankful for my family, friends, my dude, kitties, and the sky above. And Freedom to be myself. If we have to fight for it, lets go for it. But, everything, has a cause and effect. So how do we stop the pendelum swinging?
