Hey all,
Thought I'd better say hi and introduce myself. I'm a Brit living in Seattle (been here almost a year now), which is turning out to be quite a change from my hometown of London. (Suffice to say that Seattle is somewhat sleepier, but then again, I didn't get to go skiing every weekend in London).
Came across this website a few months ago, and it pretty quickly made it into my daily reads list. Diva - you do a great job, kudos is due.
What else can I tell you? I guess I'm a city type who likes clubs and restaurants, but couldn't cope without my dose of the outdoors (I run marathons, and love to ski). And if I wasn't doing what I do now, I'd want to be a gourmet chef.
Will that do?

Yay!!! Indeed it will! Welcome to the boards, Sterling! Seattle was one of the places I thought of moving to. It looked so beautiful and I love the rain. It's the moronic California drivers that I can't stand! This is a great group of people and I'm sure that you will agree. I hope you enjoy yourslef on the boards. I know I do!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot off an email to either myself or Aussie. Welcome to the boards!!
Welcome to NCT boards, Sterling! I know you'll enjoy yourself here. There's some good hearted people that pass through, something for everyone. There's always something to post on.
What do you do for a living? You mentioned wanting to be a chef otherwise. Lord knows Diva needs a chef. *Ducks*
Have fun and see ya on the boards!

Hey man Im glad you decided to come back.
Come back? Nope, this is my first time here. I think maybe you have me mixed up with some other Sterling.
I think he meant after signing up, hon. First time on the boards, though! I hope it will be the first [or second, thanks to that link!] of many! I keep being told that NCT is addictive. I assure you that it's 100% legal! :cheesy:
Nice banner, Aussie!

Oh, right. Well, thanks, Aussie! Could do with that pint - beer over here is just not the same as back in Blighty.
Jake: My day job is making video games; right now I'm working on a hockey game for the Xbox.
I looked around and this is what is listed as a popular UK brew. Cheers!!:

Hey Sterling, welcome and don't believe a word they say about some ole redhead!!:D I hope to read alot about ya!!! Sorry y'all been too busy from work....
Hi Sterling!
Do you go to Jack's Roadhouse there in Seattle? I went there in December and had the best time! It's like a Denny's on crack.
There is a band up there, called Mayfly that some pals of mine here know up there. Should you ever need to hook up with some friends for a good night out, let me know and I can arrange for these guys to show you around Seattle. I realize you've been there almost a year, but I don't know how many people you know yet and things.
Welcome to the Trix, Sterling.

Well, I'm flattered, but I don't think you're my type.

Nope, not made it to Jack's yet. Where is it exactly? I actually know Seattle reasonably well, since I've been coming here for a few years for work (company finally realised that spending obscene amounts of money on transatlantic air travel was probably less cost effective than simply relocating me), but Jack's isn't somewhere I've found thus far.
It was my cooking wasn't it?

Yes, yes it was. But I think you're just ahead of your time - I'm sure chicken sashimi will be to die for next year.
