View Full Version : Sir Bill Gates
While the title is a little misleading since Bill Gates isn't a British citizen, it is true that Bill Gates was knighted today (http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=544271). I find this to be rather amusing. Now I can picture him in that photo shoot (http://www.scurvydawg.com/article.php?story=billgates1983) wearing a shining sword and armor..

Yeh, it's a bit like knighting the Evil Emporer BEFORE Darth Vader, isn't it?

Its a shame she didn't remove his head during the knighting, accidently of course *evil grin*

I can see it now..."Pirates of Silicon Valley, Episode One"
The Woz training his young apprentice Jobs to take on the evil megalomaniac, Bill Gates in a fight to the finish.

and we all know Steve Jobs would win (he is a nerd....but at least looks a lot less nerdy than Gates.....and his products are cooler too!)

Given that Tony Blair is the man who effectively decides on the conferral of honours, my question is this: just what has Bill Gate done for the Labour Party lately?
It's not altogether horrifying considering the amount gates donates each year and his own foundation. Compare him to anyone else in that bracket and he compares quite favorably.

Oh, no doubt, Bane, on a personal level I think Bill Gates is a decent human being. However, Dr Frankenstein created the monster, and for that he must pay with his life.
oooh... we should make Bill run the new netscape then, surely that is a penalty worse than death.
