Arcade Score Pruning

Right now the Arcade isn't that active, so I was thinking of temporarily discontinuing the 20 day pruning of scores. The upside is that your highscore will stay. The downside is that someone else's will stay that you have to beat. I'm going to leave it up to you.

By the way, I just realized that I had to click to update scores, which is why you were seeing 'phantom highscores'.

Sidenote: by "not very active", Diva means that I have played Arkanoids only 22,012 times this week.

But no, I definitely think you should eliminate your hi-score off Motherload so I can immediately seize upon the vacant placing and assume Illuminati status of that particular game.

Yeah- & I have played a few of them thousands of times myself- I'm trying to beat my own score!

I'm all for not ever 'pruning' the scores. It gives me something to beat- even if it is my own score! Besides, I play more 'cause I like the game, anyway.

i have discovered that i have an insane competitive streak, and i got hooked on the arcade tonight and played blackjack trying to beat JakeD (didnt work!)

I like to see my scores live on...for eternity. Especially the crab volleyball!

Diva, I noticed this on another games site (www.makaimedia.com): Only your personal high score is posted in the high score list. They also reset their top scores nightly. I do like only having someone's top score make the list, rather than the entire list being dominated by one or two players. I don't think the arcade gets enough play to warrant a nightly reset tho.

I like to see at least the top 5, so I can see how close I'm getting or how close someone else is getting to me. Kinda spurs me on, ya know???
