It's funny how books, television, movies and music effect us. Some enlighten us. Some anger us... but all have the capacity to irk the fuck out of people when we quote them... alot. :) What are some classic lines from something you've seen or listened to that you find yourself using in conversation?

" A mine is a terrible thing to waste " -- Elizabeth Moon "Marque and Reprisal"

" Death was treated with certain ammount of Awww.. ' AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW' " - mel brooks, history of the world part 1. turned into " X / That deserves to be treated with certain ammount of Aww... 'AAAWwwWWWWW' "

Not so much films as television series. Post-Red Dwarf I find myself using the word "smeg" a lot, and I was quite interested to read about the first person to be sacked for using it (http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/weblogs/story/0,14024,1388466,00.html) only the other day.

If someone says, "Who you gonna call?" I immediately say, "GHOSTBUSTERS!"

Yes, I'm a child of the 80s. I can't help it.

The latest joke between me and JakeD is from the movie The Punisher. Rebecca Romijn's acting is bland. The part that really gets me is when she becomes emotional when talking to The Punisher. Her voice goes down about 10 octives when she says 'You're gonna die tonight, aren't you? Is that what you want?' We've been mimicking her voice at random times. Yeah, we're dorks.

Ah, but do you really, EPT? If you've seen season v, you may quite reasonably question whether season iv ever happened. One of my mates has got a bee in the bonnet about the entire "white hole" sequence in that season: he thinks they never actually came out of it.

"To live to be 30 is to have failed at life" from the Art of Outrage. Quoted usually whenever someone comments on my lack of regard for self-preservation.

"They want you to be Jesus
They’ll go down upon one knee
But they’ll want their money back
If you’re alive at thirty-three"

Disclaimer: I really loved The Others.

With that said, the part where the husband comes home and says, "Sometimes I bleed" left my good friend and I ROARING. We'll just say it to eachother randomly.

I also will yell "IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET OR IT GETS THE HOSE AGAIN!" if somebody/thing is not doing what it's supposed to.
