I HATE MICKEY D'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now OFFICIALLY HATE Mickey D's- permanently & forever! Yesterday I was driving through a little craphole town & there was a Mickey D's open & it was PAST lunchtime & I was REAL hungry, so I stopped & oredred one of their chicken whoppers- has GRILLED chicken. I got my order, then was back on the road before I realized that they had given me a FRIED chicken & since I was headed out into the middle of nowhere & had an appointment, I ate it. 4 hours later, I knew I was going to be in trouble & last night was up part of the night with food poisoning. For anyone who's had it, you KNOW it's not a fun thing- you feel like you want to die & hope it SOON, because you're in such pain from the whole experience.

Luckily it wasn't as bad as I've had it before- I got a case from M, D's (a different branch) about 2 years ago & had such severe cramps & vomiting that it tore an abdominal muscle & I now have a hernia. I didn't eat anything from them for about a year... this time it's going to be EVER!

Anyone else ever have something like this happen? Did you ever go back?

Oh hell yes. i went to MDs about a year ago and got a double cheeseburger. When I bit into it it tasted funny. I was so sick for the whole next day. I promised myself id never eat there again.

I just usually don't eat there and accept the fact that when I do, it'll be of the quality I've come to expect.

hmmm well since i work for mcdonalds i feel bad kinda well shit happenes and some ppl just don't know what there doing like my store manager is real big on policy and things have to be done that way so we don't have much complaints about ppl getten sick, but we do fuck a order up every now and then, well me and a buddy when to a wendys and he asked for onions and teh lady said no but theresa nother one we went to BK and my buddy chipped a tooh on a wopper it was kinda funny at the time then agin i find hummer in lots of things :devil:

I haven't gotten sick off of fast food, surprisingly, but I have gotten sick off of restaurant food. I was working for my uncle, we ended up in this crappy backwoods town and decided to go to this (supposedly) Chinese restaurant for lunch. We went in, and it was run by...you guessed it....white folks. We shoulda walked out when we saw hamburgers, hot dogs, and breakfast food on the menu, but sadly enough we didn't....I ordered the kung pao shrimp and he had beef broccoli, and when I got mine it was some sludgy nasty-assed sauce with crumbled-up shrimp (again, WTF) and funky looking vegetables. I started eating it, and it had fucking POTATOES AND CORN IN IT. KUNG PAO SHRIMP AND CHICKEN SHOULDN'T HAVE POTATOES AND CORN IN IT. I ate about half of it and gave up. They brought out his beef broccoli and it had a hair in it, so he sent it back and got a burger instead.

We got back to the job, and I promptly threw up after about ten minutes. A few minutes after that, I was curled up in the passenger seat of the van with cramps, and then about ten minutes after that I found myself in the bathroom wishing I was dead.

I can never hear of someone sending food back to the chef without thinking of the Monty Python skit about the dirty fork.

And I like it that way.

ugg, i hate MCds just for their stupid commercials, but as bad as the "im hating it" commercials are, their food is even worse. This ass-backwards podunk town that i am in now doesnt have a publix OR a subway where I can get a decent sub. at least I have a decent chinese place.

I used to work in US food industry. I don't consider that food, and I wouldn't touch it with a lab spatula, left alone eat it! Eeeeeeeeeeeew!!!

Bass--trust me, you don't want to eat any fast food in USA (other than possibly Steak n Shake, they are halfway decent). Even if their food is regulation, it's enough to make me sick thinking about all the crap that goes into it. Food poisoning is just the icing on the cake.

Lils- I try to somehow get peeks into the kitchens of the places I eat (except MD's, of course) because I worked in an exclusive steak & seafood restaurant back in the '70s on LI. I was hired on as the pot washer & ended up doing everything else, including second cook on 4th of July weekend that year. That kitchen had YEARS of filth & grease built up everywhere & I couldn't stand it- I scraped & washed everything down the first month I was there. (it was over 1/2 inch thick!) I've also worked in the cleanest kitchen I've ever been in- everything HAD to sparkle at the end of everyone's shift- and it did! Working in restaurants give you a WHOLE new perspective on eating out.

Argh...I worked at Taco Bell/KFC for a week and quit. It was just...weird.

Plus the job sucked.
