Not the kind of wet dream I had in mind.

So, I was dreaming that I started a new job at some weird factory. I don't remember exactly what I was doing at the place, but I was the "new guy." I'm going around the place, when all of a sudden, one of the guys walks up to me grinning. I ask, "What's up?" He says, "Initiation," then three guys grab me from behind and stuff me into a plastic container with holes in it. They duct tape it shut, and toss me into a pool, and I'm yelling, "I can't swim!!" They're all laughing at me and so on, then all of a sudden, the thing stops sinking just as the water reaches my neck. I'm freaking out, trying to move, but it's so tight in there, I can't. All of a sudden, the thing rolls, and sinks to the bottom and, in my dream, I inhale a shitload of water. Well, I'm having a hard time trying to breathe, and I suddenly realize, I cant at all. I find myself starting to wake up, and I'm not breathing. I sit up with a start gasping for air with my mom over me, shaking my shoulders yelling "WAKE UP!!!!"

I had stopped breathing in real life.

I could feel myself blacking out, both in my dream and real life. She said I wasn't breathing for at least 30 seconds or more. I guess I have sleep apnea, or what ever it's called. She said this isn't the first time I've stopped breathing in my sleep.


You ever have something freaky like this happen to you?

the closest I've come to that is when I'm running in a dream and my legs start moving in real life and it jerks me awake. That's always wierd.

I have a lot of dreams where I need to pee but I can't. Usually I'm in a public bathroom where there arent any doors on the stalls or all the toilets are gross or broken so I really have to go but I can't. Some of these dreams I do find a way to pee, and that makes me afraid that I will pee myself one night in real life because I finally get to pee in my dream ;)

But Boozer your dream takes the cake :winkkiss: because that's messed up hehe

Did your MD tell you that you should go to a sleep clinic & be tested to see if you maybe need a breathing machine? If not, I think your doctor 1) is trying to kill you & 2) SUCKS!

I've had similar pee dreams, Mars... I remember that awesome feeling of relief in my dream then suddenly waking up, petrified I had pissed all over my bed. No warm wetness yet, though!

I have always had vivid dreams- about peeing, choking, etc. The worst nightmare I had was when I was being stabbed in the back by a coworker at work & dreamed that he was standing over me with a pair of open scissors & was trying to scream for help. Mark woke me up telling me I was moaning "NO" & shaking.

The choking is because I have real bad post nasal drip & do choke sometimes.

I did dream that I had gas one night that wasn't, I found out when I woke up.

I have the same dream every couple of months that there is a strange man in my bed laying next to me, but he has no face. I wake up screaming and I run to safety. My ex-boyfriend hated it, the night I moved in with him at his apartment I had the dream and the people above us called the cops because all they could hear was me screaming "who are you?", "what do you want with me?". I am not sure why I have them, I was probably traumatized as a child.
Anyway, the CPAP machine is not very attractive. I had a patient when I worked in Internal Medicine that had to use one, he reminded me of the guy from the movie Hannibal. A lot of people are misdiagnosed with Sleep Apnea when really the dreams are coming from stress or other emotional issues.

I rarely remember my dreams at all, let alone have odd ones.

Although, a few nights ago I remember watching a very large airliner barely make it off the ground, pull up to ascend, then gradually stop in mid air, as if overcome by it's own weight, then come down and crash into a firey explosion. Then some guy wouldn't call 911 because he was busy talking to someone about something or other.

I've had quite a few bizarre dreams within the past few months. Incidentally, I started dreaming more when I moved to CA from Texas, dunno how influential a change of location is, but my dreams have ranged from going back to work at the restaurant to fighting off zombies to my girlfriend cheating on me. It's weird shit, and I talk/move in my sleep, so I get to hear about every detail from Diva once I wake up. :/

ADDENDUM: I kinda-sorta blame my lucid dreams on my having watched Richard Linklater's Waking Life a couple of weeks ago...ever since then, my dreams have become a bit more realistic in nature. It's a trip...I love dreams.

When you guys dream, can you influence your dreams sometimes? I've dreamed something totally weird & thought "This is weird- that really couldn't happen. I'll have to change my dream." then I do change it.

Yeah, there's been a few times I've realized I was dreaming and made something happen. Only bad thing is, when I realize I'm dreaming and starting doing that, I usually wake up shortly after.

I've noticed that every once in awhile I wake up becuase I'm not breathing..Like, I don't have dreams that make me stop breathing - I just stop. Then I wake up and gasp for air...I had heard about that sleep apnea thing but haven't gotten checked out for it. It actually just happened for the first time a couple months ago. Wierd.

I don't have super vivid dreams, that I remember anyway. I know I talk a lot and move around a lot in my sleep. I always have...so they must be vivid while I'm having them. I just can't remember most of them when i wake up.

Normally, I just talk in my sleep. My ex-boyfriend told me one night, while we were over at my best friend's house (his sister-in-law is my best friend...that's how we met), and I was sleeping on the couch, and he was on the loveseat. Well, sometime during the night, he woke me up and told me that I was rolling around *which isn't rare*, moaning, and kept saying, "I dunno" and he watched me do that for about 10 minutes before he woke me up. As a matter of fact, Ben's told me I've said "I don't know" in my sleep before. Maybe I'm confused as hell about something in my sleep.

The last vivid dream I had, was about 4 years ago. I remember it so clear. I was standing outside our garage, looking up at the sky, when all of a sudden, this explosion of color happened in the sky. What I remembered was, it was far away, but it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. A few seconds later, it happened again, but it seemed like it was getting closer. I was standing there, just intrigued and almost hypnotized when it happened right over our woods, caused this huge boom, and then dirt fell from the sky and landed on my left shoulder. I tried to run inside but I realized that whatever this was, being inside wasn't going to protect me. So, I curled up in a ball, and shut my eyes so tight....and then, in the dream, I open my eyes, and the FBI is there, and they tell me they need to take me to Washington D.C. to take the sample of dirt to the White House. The last thing I remember before I awoke, was I was in a black limo, holding a plastic baggie of this dirt, and looking out the tinted window. I woke up scared half to death, too scared to look outside, and I was having cold sweats. It was freaky as hell. At least now I know, I dream in color lol

I had a dream the other night about me being stalked by a demon. I was walking along the road just down a bit from my dad's, and all of a sudden, I hear a woman's voice say something like, "It's all your fault." Wel, I turn around, end see a woman walking behind me. I ask her what she said, and she just looked at me like I was crazy. I "knew" that she didn't say it, so I decided to just head back to my dad's house, and walked past the woman. As I got closer, I suddenly felt like I shouldn't be walking that way any more, and started to back pedal quickly. As I back past the woman, I see her get shredded to bits right in front of my eyes, only I can't see what's doing it. Then, all of a sudden, there's a demon's face about 10 inches from mine and it says, "I told you it was all your fault" and it raises its claw.

That's when I wake up panting, covered in a cold sweat. I look over, and the tv is on, with a preview for the new Michael Keaton movie, "White Noise" playing. Needless to say, I don't sleep with the tv on any more.
