It was reported on CNN this morning about the Marines finding WMD in Fallujah nextdoor to the death chamber where the hostages lost their heads. I cannot find a web news area with the same report. Have you seen one. I need verification.

A "variety of weapons" doesn't say much about WMDs, and I think that they'd be quite zealous to mention that WMD were actually found. Besides, they're already under investigation for misinformation and ANY weapons that are found are being turned in. The only source they had for the fact that WMD may have existed in Iraq (besides the fact that Bush Sr. GAVE them to Saddam's regime) was a report from MI-6, which is now under questioning in courts in Great Britain. If they do find them, good for them, they actually managed to back up a claim that they made in order to start this whole war. They already admitted (not directly, but through heavily veiled language) that they were at fault several times too, from what I can remember.

It was stated that it was syrian gas or at least something like that. It was in shells for shoulder launch weapons.
It definately hasn't made into any major news on the web that I can find. Yahoo news last update says Nov. 8th, 2004 on the main page.
IceMan, it ISNT going to be the WMD that we have been searching for. The title of the thread makes it seem like it's an 'in your face' comment, and I think that before you post something with that attitude you should be backing it up with facts, not asking for them. If CNN said it on their news then it would be on their site. I don't see it anywhere. They update their site throughout the day.
The sad part about this is that they are getting more and more weapons smuggled into Iraq. With the people paying ransomes for the kidnapped victims the chances of them getting ahold of shit like that is becoming more a reality every day. I pray they don't, IceMan.

I did watch the interview this morning around 9 am. A Marine Captian was being interviewed. His words as the best that I can recall were, "I hope this proves to the world why we are here."
I am surprized as anyone else that I cannot find written verification. That is why, I started this thread for help.

Sorry, I honestly thought that you were being serious about it. I think that if a soldier found something this morning, then they would still need to test it before saying what it is. I think the soldier was being hopeful. Unfortunately, his reasons for being there are totally different now.
An associate just informed me that it was also on NPR (National Public Radio). A satelite radio news station. I am getting closer.

It was just like I said.... and was afraid of. They stated they had obtained sarin gas, that it was not the elusive WMD that brought us there. Unfortunately they are kidnapping people and getting more and more money to fund their cause, and there are many countries willing to sell them the weapons that they need. Hell, we sold them sarin gas to fight Iran. I hope this isn't worst case scenario of karma.
