Negative vote totals in some places. Some machines not counting votes at all. In florida, some hispanic areas didnt even have the presidential canidates on the ballot!

Damn- I have to send this to my friend who lives in NC & even though she was born & lived in NY until 15 years ago, puts on a southern accent & tries to come off like she's a 'southern girl'. I witnessed it when I was visiting her this past spring- and called her on it. Laughed my ASS off when she turned redafter I told her to stop 'putting on' the southern drawl in front of the little southern honey that propositioned us. Thought she was gonna shit right there!
I also haven't heard from her since right before the election when she sent me the video dissing Kerry's service record & I told her to get her head out of her ass & think for herself, WITH SNOPES.com's writeup proving that it was wrong & some other references taken from major newspapers. She said that they were all lies cooked up by Kerry's people & that Bush was HONEST & UPRIGHT. Yeah, right. I've been sending her jokes (mostly about Bush) but still haven't heard from her. Guess she doesn't love me any more?:whome:

Seriously though, that link owns, and he backs up his facts. I even went around checking and double checking some, like the tax leeching etc. Also I really thought the swearing was necessary. It was paced well, and added to the rant.
As for military sevice people, they come from the poor mostly. The military being an easy out of poverty, and a paying job. And maybe that means that they come from the south, because the north has more money, I don't know
But it raises the questions, going on the assumption the south is poor, WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY RED STATES THEN.
Its obvious to see, every population center, AKA major city, other then those in Texas, are BLUE. Now thats says something to me....

Unfortunately, I am hotheaded and will jump in a fight without thinking. I am desperately trying to change that as it one of those things that I do have control over.
Unfortunately as well, I once again worded my statement incorrectly as I was speaking of the site in question and not "this thread". When I went back and read it after you spanked me, (which was quite pleasant, thank you) I went back and deleted it to ponder upon the subject and gain insight to his qualm. This I should have done first.
I have been known to lose my cool over the dumbest things to go back and think it through. That doesn't mean that I change my opinion. It means that I rather than piss someone else off, would rather be calm about it.
What I did mean in that post about the posted site was it was "prejudice". I stand behind that statement.
You have to understand as many of you, I see comments, quarrels and defamation of people on a daily basis. They are not solely based on one race, religion or origin. I think that all prejudice is wrong and should not be tolerated, found amusing or supported by anyone. This post of a site that is clearly an opinion of one individual based solely on the facts that he/she had chosen to acknowledge. The facts may well be true statements. I understand that. But like you fine people whom I converse weekly with, I cannot directly change how the political structure is abusing their power without voting when it becomes my turn to express my thoughts. Clearly, there has not been a political figure that shares my beliefs and morals and has that has gained my trust enough to say that this person can make a difference. They either don't have an ounce of backbone in their body, or they lie and cheat their way to the top. Which would you choose? I don't want to talk politics.
The point that I was trying to make is that we should consider those around us, as we are a very diversified group of friends. We all come from many different backgrounds, races, and religions and let's not forget origins. Whether or not I am from the south or Tim buck too, shouldn't matter. I am a person who cares as much about the people around me as the next person. Will I get involved? You damn right I will. Will I fight for you? You are damn right I will. Because you are not from next-door, doesn't matter to me. What matters is that we accept the fact that we don't agree with every thought and opinion of others and respect their opinions as well as our own.
If I am wrong with that way of thinking, then prove me wrong. Our society today is so caught up in their own personal agendas that we have lost the sight of our future not as a country but as a species. What is right? What is wrong? We have reduced that to a matter of opinion. The lines are erased and we are feeling our way through the dark to find our path in life. Wake up people.
I was raised to know the difference in right and wrong by the natural order or things. I was raised in respect that if I make a decision that I must live with it and make the best of it. Have I thought of divorce? Surely, I have. I have had comments as I posted the dismays in my life in the nature that I should divorce my wife. However, I had mad this choice and I must live with it. I have found that if we work through our problems, happiness is usually on the other side.
I think that I have given you enough ammo to hang me now and I will step a side to relish upon what I have said.

Excellent post, IceMan. It's nice to see a from the heart response. I agree with most of what you are saying, too. It's so hard to not react when you read something that goes 100% against your beliefs. The internet taught me to slow down and look at the other side. I usually saw someone with the same passion against mine. That's where I learned to agree to disagree.

Look dude, Iceman, your a good guy, and I'd like to be your friend. What you have to understand is how us Northerners or even Liberals feel right now. The South as a general rule, is a hell of alot more racist then the North. I know, I lived there for a few years in SC. I was called Yankee on day 1 of my arrival. The shits fucked up. Blacks live on one side of Charleston, whites on another.

First I would like to say that you have a very tasty ankle, Mrs. Entipy.
You know Mr. Evilpoptart, I have studied the quote above that Mrs. Entipy so dearly endorsed and I came up with this. As far a "Modern World View", I must say that I stand as far away from that as I possibly can. I don't force my views of morality, relationships, religion, or politics upon anyone. I on ocasion put them out there for scrutinizing individuals to poke fun and even tell me that I am incorrect for thinking that way.
However, as you will never see me speak negatively about anyone's professed religion or the lack thereof; I most definately do not take lightly the continous negative inuendos toward "Christianity". I know that "Christians" are perfect and I can myself point out the imperfections. I can also do that with others as well but, choose not to as I don't appreciate it. I have fallen "short of the glory" on more than one occasion and realized that I am just like everyone else. I have my views and opinions. That's just it, they are "mine". I don't base my opinion on people based on facts from any sources that are influenced by someone elses personal views. I usually look at the big picture and see what I believe to be the real truth. The majority of the time I am correct in my descision making. However, I am wrong sometimes as well.
