Is anyone else as nervous as I am? Tell me about some other times that you were nervous and how did it turn out?

I am SO nervous. And I know this will last for days...at the very least.
I'm usually ridiculously nervous when I'm the bearer of bad news. I sweat, get all jittery and pretty much just freeze.
I'm not nervous - at least not because of the elections. :)

I'm a bit antzy to find out. I just hope it isnt a repeat of last time, although I won't be surprised if it is.
But I get nervous about everything so I'm not the person to ask ;)

I agree, I think there will be another lawsuit(s) filed over the election. And unfortunately I believe that will be a trend for many elections to come.
I'm very nervous, not least because my absentee ballot didn't get here, so I can't vote and I feel like I failed USA and the world by not voting.
And I can't wait for the outcome of elections.
It's also that time of month, which is not making things better at all!

A large voter turnout. 120 million people are voting today. 6 hour waits to vote in areas of Florida. 3 hour waits in Penn and Ohio. Translation: A Kerry win. People aren't going through long lines, rain, ID checks over and over to preserve the 43rd Reich. I am pretty confident now Kerry is gonna walk away with a solid majority, and there is nothing any lawyer can do about it when the people have spoken.
Evil--I sure hope you are right! :D

well now I'm nervous
Kerry is walking alright; straight to the unemployment line.
I don't get nervous. I get scared.
If that's where Kerry is walking, then the majority of voting Americans are far, far dumber than I gave them credit for. Bush stealing elections once--shame on him, Bush winning after all the SHIT he'd done--shame on those who voted for him.
I'm voting Clinton in 2008, and I am getting my ballot YEARS in advance this time!

Do you even think before u type?????

Yes, we all should be very scared with 4 more years of Bush in the White House.
Three states haven't called it yet. I reserve judgement and keep hoping.
I seriously doubt that Kerry will be out of a job...his credentials as a Senator more than likely have some influence on his future leanings. Again, I DON'T KNOW, that's just one of those CRAZY IDEAS of mine. People will at least want a sensible senator if they can't have a sensible president.

I'm seething right now. Ohio IS NOT decided. Besides that, I'm not sure that I believe we lost Florida. The man who owns the Diebold electronic voting machines said he'd help Bush win the election. I want to see the results of the exit polls in Florida compared to the "actual" results of the electronic machines. I want to see them now, dammit.

Kerry just conceded.
It is over.

I think it really came down to Gay Marriage.
19 states had Gay marriage proposals on the ballot, and of course that brought out all the "Ain't no faggit gettin married in my state fucks"
Every state that had the prop on the ballot voted against gay marraige.
I dunno if it was a republican strategy or not, but it seems so.
We lost seats in both houses of Congress, we lost upto 3 or 4 Supreme Court Justices, (Clarence Thomas will be new chief justice you heard it here first) we lost the Presidency for at least the next 12 years, forget Clinton in 08', its going to be Teh Governator, and I have lost faith in my country, and I don't think its coming back.
It just goes to show that some people can't be educated and will let values instilled from something written over 2000 years ago run their lives.

It was gay marriage, abortion, AND the stem cell bit which cemented all of those. Kerry never actually supported gay marriage, although he supported civil unions, which still influenced a lot of people's decisions. I talked to Bane extensively this morning about a lot of this, and he told me some interesting stuff that I wasn't aware of, like how the Supreme Court justices that were appointed under Bush's re-election campaign vowed to abolish abortion while they were in power.
I pray that Orrin Hatch's resolution doesn't get passed so that the Governator CAN'T run, because he's doing a crap job at being the Governor. I'd hate to see that ineptitude applied at the national level. Unfortunately, your average idiot would gladly vote for him to be president, because "I mean, come on, how cool would it be to have Arnold Schwarzenegger as president?"
News flash, fucko....it wouldn't. Snippy one-liners and brawn don't necessarily translate well to politics (although it seems like they would, eh?). I'd vote for Hillary in a heartbeat. She's a bright, ballsy woman and I'd honestly like to see that in the Oval office.
Do you think they'd rename it the 'Ovulating Office'?
