He would never call for help when he was hurting, only when his remote wasn't working. He would walk through the nursing home with it stuck in his belt. So he's taking it with him to heaven. "

I saw this story and had to share it. I wanted my dad to be buried how he lived... in boxer shorts. I think this woman did a great job in sending off the one she loved.

If you could choose one thing to be buried with you that meant the world, what would it be?

I want to be creamated with my favorite fishing rod & the lure that catches me the most striped bass, then have my ashes dumped into the ocean at the Southampton, NY side of the Shinnecock Inlet on outgoing tide of October's full moon at night.


Then, before that, I want an Irish style wake- everyone gets 10 minutes to hang out & cry & blatt, then the party starts- food, beer, good alcohol, & a GREAT fiddle band to dance to. Anyone that sits around after the first 10 minutes blatting is EXCUSED from the party! And people that didn't treat me nicely when I was alive WILL BE BARRED FROM THE PARTY!

You think I'm kidding? I'm not- I've already told everyone that & made my son PROMISE to do that. It WILL be written into my will when I get a chance to get one drawn up. Also, there will be money set aside for the party. :cool:
