Okay. I'm losing my mind. I heard this song today at work, and I remember hearing it a few times before, and I used to know who it was, but now I can't friggin' remember and grrrrrrr....

Anyways, here's a few lines. I was trying to write down the lyrics in between people's announcements.

"Soft winds, whisper, sweet words to my love/...something/ i'm on the blue sea, tell him, soft winds, since he left me/ my heart's been empty" etc.

I can't remember it and it's driving me up the wall.

Ever have any moments like this? What did you forget, and how did you remember it?

No idea about the song....

...but this kind of thing happens to me all the time...i have like 2 words of a song in my head and no one knows what im talking about (mainly cuz most of my friends are only into mainstream music) and then when they want to know what song they have in their heads they ask me and im like "ok hum a bit for me" and their like "well i dont know the tune" HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO HELP THEN IDIOT!

Wish I could help Jake, I hate it when that happens to me. I'm suffering kinda the same torment, theres a song I've heard several times, I heard it again last night and I still don't know the name or the artist... Arrrggggghhh!!!!!

First line goes like this: "I like your pants around your knees, I like the way you just say please."

I think that's it anyway. I know you guys have heard it as they play it to death on the radio, but can anyone please help?

No, it's a woman. Like I said, it's an old jazz song. It's either Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday...or someone to that effect. I've been through almost the entire friggin' catalog of all three of them and a few more, and nothing of the sort.
