Manhunt game selling more copies after being banned (http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/technology/s/125/125988_manhunt_game_selling_out.html).

Okay. I have this game, and I've played it. It's an enjoyable, dark, violent romp throughout a rundown city, and I don't see how anyone could be influenced to kill someone by this game. It's just too farfetched, and anyone who claims that the media influenced their actions is a fucking retard.

Nevertheless, some idiot kid in the UK snuffed out and robbed a buddy of his, and now fingers are being pointed at the game and Dixons has even gone so far as to remove the game from their shelves. They smartly denied any responsibility for the issue, as did Rockstar, the game company that made the game.

Are your actions easily influenced by media?
If so, why? If not, why?
What do you think of people who are influenced by such things?
Who's to blame for this...the media, the audience, the parents?

Are your actions easily influenced by media?

No.

If so, why? If not, why?

Cause I use my brain.

What do you think of people who are influenced by such things?

I think they're weak-minded.

Who's to blame for this...the media, the audience, the parents?

It depends on the situation.

Ya know, it's really too bad... I play GTA Vice City, just think about all the fun I could have if we could use video games to justify our behavior.

Hmmmm...

Are your actions easily influenced by media?

Hell NO!

If so, why? If not, why?

I was a member of the media for a while- I know that certain 'stories' are just that- stories. BS! And, no matter how honest SOME reporters & papers are, they get info incorrect- papers are written & edited by humans.

What do you think of people who are influenced by such things?

They're just as gullible as the ones who regularly forward the urban legends without checking them out first- AND about as intelligent.

Who's to blame for this...the media, the audience, the parents?
All of them.

Are your actions easily influenced by media?
-Not at all, but you can bet i have something to talk about after watching something aired by the media.

If so, why? If not, why?
because i feel believe shit on tv all the time, is the same as believe everything said on the internet...most of the time the sources are the same, and the core source are the people, and you never know ...people exaggerate and lie.

What do you think of people who are influenced by such things?
hey good luck with that...thats what i think

Who's to blame for this...the media, the audience, the parents?
the one person

Are your actions easily influenced by media?

im easily influenced in the fact that i want a lot of the stuff that i see, but other than that no...i dont base my actions on what i see in the media

If so, why? If not, why?
why i want what i see: because im attracted to shiny shit
why i dont do things: because most of what i see in the media isnt what i would normally do and its difficult to change

What do you think of people who are influenced by such things?
i think their conscious of their choices but they know theyre stupid choices so they use a scapegoat to shift the blame...

Who's to blame for this...the media, the audience, the parents?
everyone:
themselves.....if it happened to you and you took part in it willingly then you only have yourself to blame
the media...for showing stupid crap
the audience...for listening and watching the crap
the parents...for not paying more attention to the kids...
