Let me ask you a question. Does anyone NOT have a website/blog/gallery/forum? It seems like it's become the normal thing to do. Everyone's on the web these days. When I used to mention having a site I'd get a 'Oh! Cool" kinda response. Now it's more like "Wanna trade URLs?" That's when you really have to think about it. Do you want to see your cashier/bank teller's 'other life'? It's really what it is, too. Even though I'm pretty much the same person online it's the side of me that I tone down at work or public places. Keeping that in mind, do you really want to know if that sweet teller has a fetish that's a tad on the wild side? After seeing her in leather could you really treat her the same? "I'll have one beef jerky... Dont whip me with it *wink wink*"

in responce, the only reason I made a small site, and will register domain, is because of convinience. Some place to post pictures, files to download, or something I can refer someone to if needed. I dont need forums on there, cause there are plenty out there already. why should I bother with that then?

Have you ever thought of the amount of idiots at the airport? I have, it's the same as having idiots on the phone, but rather than being polite or their character annoying you vocally it does so based on weight. It's a good team environment at airports but you come across the occasional asshole, today the anus was a technician who threw the wheel chucks to the ground and I had to pick them up. It's not so much the fact I need to move the wheel chocks as to the attitude of the anus I'm speaking of.

It's a dangerous environment, a warm wet environment, tiring as well. It's an airport where you have loud engines, jet blast, cars, moving bridges that dock onto the plane, propellers, heavy loads and more. If just one person behaves in an obnoxsious way quite a few lives could be in danger.

As to websites there aren't that many people I know who have websites but if they do I find it's quite interesting. It's about what information you provide, whether it's got any content etc. If it's a site saying hello my name is mary jane and I like spider man then that site is crap so might as well not exist. If the site however is used as a reference by many people then it has a purpose. As to blogs I think they are for inwardly focused people on the most part, replacing face to face discussions with self serving monologues.

Some people could say the web is the wastebasket of the intellectual world and it is, but that's part of it's wealth.

No, seriously. I used to have links to different things on my site, but that got boring to me, and I just haven't updated it since.

I use it for storage space for photos and such, and for email addresses that I don't have to worry about changing if I change service providers (and don't have to worry about using webmail).
