View Full Version : Are You Lookin' at Me?

OK, when did just even taking a glance in someones general direction become such an insult? For instance, I frequently go to Starbucks and spend all my hard earned money on overpriced coffee, but that's not the reason I go there. I go there because I love just sitting outside under the patio and 'observe the world' as I call it. So I frequently just space out and end up staring in one direction for a really long time. One day a man ended up standing in the direction I was looking, and when he saw me he gave this huge look of disgust. *shrugs*
OK 2nd example, While at my local mall I heard a sound like something had dropped, I looked over and and noticed a woman on a cell phone had dropped her perscription glasses. So, I was waiting for a friend of mine to get out of the dressing room, So I periodically glanced over at the woman to make sure she picked up her glasses (because it appeard that she didn't notice at all.) Everytime she happened to look over at me and I was looking at her she looked really mad. So then she started walking away and had never picked up her glasses. I quickly walked over picked them up and tapped her on her shoulder to hand them to her, she turned and gave me a really bitchy look. Then when I handed her glasses to her she seemed really surprised. She then walked away with not even a "thank you."
It never pays to be nice, pay attention, or look around apparently.
*Gives Sunny a big ole hug*
Yes it does pay. Don't let anyone tell you different!
I had a woman call me, screaming on the phone. She had been transfered, disconnected and given wrong numbers. I could have turned around and snapped at her, but I listened instead. Then I told her that I wanted to help her, but only if she let me. It was like pulling teeth. She finally calmed down and I was able to get her intouch with her doctor and shoot off a few emails to supervisors about their staff to boot. When I told her that I was connecting her to her doctor [this wasn't even something we deal with] she started to cry. She was so grateful that someone just listened and then helped.
Another time I was working alone during lunch and an elderly Hungarian woman called. She had a very thick accent and spoke broken english at best. She had reached the wrong number and when I told her, she sounded like she was giving up. I asked her to let me try and get her to the right place.. and figured out what she needed. She asked if I played the piano and I said I did as a child. She said she'd give me lessons. It was busy and I was trying to rush to the next call when she asked me to wait. I bit my tongue and agreed. Then this beautiful music started. She played the most wonderful song on her piano. When she was done she said thank you and we hung up. I had to put the phones on hold to compose myself. You just keep being a good person. It comes back to you, Sunny. Trust me.
Yeah, I know the feeling, myself. I was staring into space when I heard someone speak. My eyes focus and I'm looking at a nice pair of tits... I mean a woman. Beside her is one pissed off looking guy. I said, "so what's gonna get me out of this? Saying that I've been staring into space and didn't even see your lady or saying thanks for waking me up. I almost missed your lady's great body?" I think I confused them long enough to make my exit.
I guess its not only me then that feels a little guilty when I get caught checking out a nice pair of tits. Its kinda bad when the owner of said tits catches you lifts her top and says here have a good look you bastard. All the guys look at the jugs and all the women stare straight at you .

and did you feel like a dirty little perv aussie with all the ladies staring at you? Where did it happen?
I remember watching a guy one day trying to watch a woman breast feeding so my friend yelled out from about three meters away for him to stop it. He went as red as a beetroot and couldnt get out of there quick enough. I bet he never felt the same walking into the shopping centre again.
Man I would have loved to see that. Shopping centre`s suck like that they have usually only one mothers room in a place that is generally filled with mothers. Ive seen more than one embarased woman trying to cover up and feed a baby as well in a crowded shopping mall.

a woman doesnt need a mothers room to breastfeed her baby - thats one of the best things about it
where ever you are, its ready
and yes it is possible for a mom to sit and feed her child without it being a big production or have her breasts hang out all over the place
in fact its very possible that a woman is breastfeeding and you dont know it

Oopps!! Ozblonde you have to remember these morons are guys, they only know how to get under each others skin. Honey, they don't mean it (really). They just want to see who can out do each other and see which one is the slimest. If you ignore them they will stop because they feed off your shock!!! ;)
