Hi gang. I try to add new features to the site to make it more interesting. Sometimes they are, and sometimes they're not your cup of tea. I encourage people to speak up as to what they like and do not like so that I may create an enjoyable atmosphere.

The Opacity Avatar hack was brought up in another thread. What it does is fades the avatar of people who are offline. Some like it, some would rather see everyone's avatar. Would you all PLEASE vote on this? It's no bother either way. :)

As Justin Timberlake says - "I'm lovin' it"

I like it, and can see them fine when they are faded. I vote to keep it!

Well as I already said in the other post, I learned that it only seems to not to work when using IE 5.5. In my Mozilla browser it works fine. Maybe you should be some tests across browsers? For sake of compatability I am voting 'remove it'.

Heh. It works both in Mozilla and IE. You just see a faded version of the avatar. Nice try though. ;) It's okay to not like it. That's why I put up the poll.

Well it doesn't work in my IE 5.5! :p

Why not, Sys?

Why not, Sys?

Normally I limit myself to using Linux. The only reason I have a Windows emulation running (with IE 5.5) is to do my electronic banking.

Ahhh... so no need = not doing it. Gotcha.

Yeah BM, now you just need to choose an avatar!!! :p

There- happy now? :p :p :p This is close to what I'd look like if I lost a bunch of weight- including the gray hair. Of course, I couldn't find one of someone with a striped bass in it.

I have one that I ALMOST put on- it's a picture of me mooning the camera, but out of love for Diva, I didn't want to cause any trouble.

Vote seems a wee bit once sided. :/

As far as compatibility, if one is running IE5.5 they are likely well used to things being broken and not going their way anyway. 5.5 was a heaping helping of doo and quite honestly the more people drop it the happier I am. For the sake of compatibility I'm voting that we all use compatible browsers.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the opacity hack, but it works.

Now that I know why some are faded and others aren't I think it's a cool idea. Here I just thought you were playing favorites.
