Recently I walked into a Circuit City store to buy some CDs. All was well until an annoying sound floated through the store. I looked up and was horrified to see that they had Barney on every one of their TVs. I couldnt get out of there fast enough. His voice makes my ears bleed. Well.. not really. But it could happen. Who's more annoying as far as children charactors are concerned? If you choose Other... please describe this monstrosity character.
I have to go with Teletubbies. Since my son is at the age where he likes to watch live action crap and the babysitter always has them watch that show....I've watched it before with him cuz he likes it (only ONCE). They don't even speak english. I don't know what the hell it is they're speaking - but it's not a language. They're show doesn't make any sense at all...it's just them showing a bunch of random shit....ugh....soooo stupid. Everytime I see one of those stupid things i wish I could drop kick it into another dimension!
Well, if you want to get technical. I don't have any children and haven't gotten the "Parent Immunity" to these sort of things so they all irk me without end. I will go and visit with my buddy and he is sitting there by himself watching "Sponge Bob". I ask where are the kids and he replies, "at the neighbors." Creepy, just creepy.

Teletubbies are just stupid, but Barney annoys me worse than anything else. Someone needs to rip his vocal cords from his big ugly purple ass.

Exactly! Teletubbies is like acid for kiddies. Barney is annoying, but it IS a good show for kids.

I added this one so you could vote. I am in the same boat as you (thank goodness) in that I dont have kids and therefore dont have to deal with these characters. My friend tries to 'hide' the more annoying characters from her children. Educational is one thing... playing them over and over and over and over is quite another.

I did that with my daughter when she was young! LOL. We rarely (if ever) watched Barney at my house. She's understood from a young age that I love her very much, but I just will not put up with some things - even if it's for her enjoyment. Heh. It's a good thing I'm a Disney movie lover, though. That kept her entertained for years. :)

I fucking hate that fucking dinosaur. AND Teletubbies. They can rot in hell. HOWEVER, I love SpongeBob. I'm still a kid at heart. Today for lunch, I ate at Pizza Hut, and on the tv, they had Tom & Jerry playing...that used to be my favorite cartoon as a kid.

It was a cute show but after watching it day after day after day for a year..Im sick of it.
I don't know all of the characters but I would go for the Teletubbies. Way too stupid, even for the kids. The smurfs rock, you cannot not like them. Belgian invention by the way :)

I'm with you, man. My neice has an Elmo doll and played with it on a three hour drive. I finally said, "Darlin, I know you're having fun but if that thing makes another sound he's going camping on the side of the road". Luckily, she didnt test me.
I try to make my son watch the "less annoying" cartoons. Jimmy Neutron isn't too bad (easy to ignore) and that Wiggles show is alright...so far. Some of it's dumb but what are you going to do. Generally if it's on I try to do laundry or something while Bishop is watching it so I don't have to also.
I have Veggietales movies that I put on for him. I think they're funny (if you just listen close enough) and they do teach a good lesson.

I spent over five hours having to watch Barney while I was babysitting a spoiled brat. That Thanksgiving, his balloon in the Macy's day parade went out of control. That made me very very happy.

I'd have to say tele-tubbies on this one. I'm of the young enough generation to remember watching Barney and I remember when it wasn't horrible to watch. Tele-tubbies on the other hand need to burn in hell. (I actually have shooting targets of them. Especially the one with the purse.)
WB - Ah, ok. I never heard of it which surprises me. I worked at Domino's for a few years.
