Have you ever found something that had 'dream home' written all over it? Either in a magazine, on television or online? Describe what you saw and what you'd want. (Thanks to George for the idea).

Sure, I have.

This sounds wierd from a guy but being married I realize the needs here.

His and Her vanities
His and her closets
Game room
Theater room
Pool with waterfall jacussi
Outdoor kitchen
Four car garage
and finally a workshop for my hobbies.

It doesn't sound weird at all, coming from a guy. I know plenty of guys who have homes that they dream of owning. I'd want..
Two and a half bathrooms, one large one in the master bedroom with his and hers vanities, a huge shower with marble floors and a marble seat, and a huge bathtub, another in one of the other bedrooms for guests, and the half-bathroom in the office.

Three bedrooms, one for us with thick carpeting, his and hers closets, and french doors leading to a balcony. A guest bedroom, and a sort of sitting room. The office and game room/bar would be separate from the bedrooms.

A big office with two huge windows overlooking the back yard. A big game room with an oak bar and plenty of room.

A huge kitchen with tons of counter space and ceramic tile, with a big pantry and huge standing fridge/freezer.

A BIG living room with ceramic tile and a wood floor inset, complete with an awesome surround sound system and a big TV.

A four-car garage. Whatever space would be left over from parking the car could be used for storage, workspace, whatever....

I'm sure I forgot some stuff, which I'll probably think of while I'm sitting on my ass at work.

Home Improvement show "Man's bathroom" and "Man's Kitchen" (with a butcher).
Garage, with some shop options (like an electric rack to raise car)
Pool, Jacussi, Sauna
Basement Dungeon (those who know me: *winks*)
Fully equipped server room, with servers, and t3 line minimum.

I can go on..

I havent seen anything on TV or whatever that is anything like my dream home....and it would take a lot of paper and time for me to describe it and since i took sleeping pills late last night and they havent worn off completely im not totally up to it....maybe later...

Log cabin with a hugemongous bay window overlooking a large pond or lake, in the middle of the woods. Two story, with 3 bedrooms & 1 & 1/2 baths upstairs, kitchen, living area, and den downstairs. 3 car garage, two bays for vehicles and one for work area, and another den upstairs in the garage. That one's for me with my darts, pool table, home entertainment system with surround sound stereo and big screen tv.

Dream House: big but not huge ranchish style house, big and squareish....(i like the term ish).....stone/brick exterior with a wrap around porch in natural wood colour...balcony in front and back.....huge master bedroom and bathoom with an attached walk in closet....open concept main floor....darkish basement with lots of cool lighting......yes....im more about the landscaping and the interior decorating rather than what the house looks like architechuraly.......

Dream Summer Home/Cabin: either a plantation-esque home in southern states or else a log cabin (loft style bedrooms so no full walls) up in northern ontario or quebec (but then id have to learn french)....yes...

/me nods to Boozer

Add a "mud room," a nice and roomy kitchen, and at least two fireplaces, and that's my perfect dream home!

It would have to be nestled on much land, though. Has to be room for the animals.

when was younger actually drew a arcitechural drawing of house i wanted when older-- can't find it but was 2 stories, with pool of one side and master bedroom on other with a slide all the way from master bedroom to pool a clear tube going thru the house--cool huh--hahahaha

now is i won lottery and unlimited money would build a HUGE timber home that would have 3 stories on half of it the other half of house would be garage with a bonus room above filled with computers stuff and about 20 terabytes of storage that would be filled with every movie i could think of and be accessable from any tv in house-- big fireplace in middle of living space-with chimney going up and second floor is open and top floor is mostly wall bookcases filled with books-- also under house would have basement that is connected (underground)to external garage and external wood furnace/water heater-- on top of wood heater building would be solar panels for water heat--on top of both external garage and house would have photovtalic solar panels--and have geothermal heating--so really would need much electricity or heat for house--would want it in upstate New York or far western state on a mountain side

I don't think so. I never thought I'd ever live in a mid-terrace, but now I've bought one I'm surprised by how much I like it. The only thing I really miss is a big garden, and the sun doesn't catch my backyard quite as much as it should. Can't complain, though, the forest's only thirty seconds' walk away.

thats great Pos!

I dream of a big house on the beach with a huge pool in the backyard..

But I think we will settle for a 2-3 bedroom house wit a backyard big enough to possible add small pool or spa later.

Right now having our own house even if its a small one sounds like a dream - hoping to get it in the next year or so.
