After begging, pleading and threatening... they scheduled the electrician to come fix my apartment. I took the day off in hopes that they'd make it early and give me some time to do things. No such luck. The guy arrived at 4:30PM and tested the sockets. After futzing around in the breaker box for a bit the lights went on. Yay! The verdict: Our toaster fried the fuse. Lovely.
