Everyone has quirky eating habits. I mix my food, cut all the meat first and enjoy extra on the condiments. My friend absolutely freaks if a pea hits the mashed potatoes. I asked her if she had a split stomach so that everything digested separately. I've watched people demand piping hot foods, then scorch the inside of their mouth as they try to eat it. My quirkiest habit is the last bite. I dont care what it is, the last bite is very special. It's what you remember the meal by. I will even eat around the burger and save the middle for last. The worst part is eating something midway through that ruins the rest of the meal. A chewy part of beef or the cartilage on a chicken. The rest of the meal is spent wincing as you eat, waiting to find another piece. Anyone who tells you they dont have an eating quirk must have one you dont want to know about.

My friend used to be only able to have one thing on her plate at a time....it was kinda annoying...
...and i kinda have that last bite dealy...ill let other ppl eat my food except for the last bite (maybe so i can say that i finished it)....i also have a habit of overeating on certain foods and then throwing up or feeling sick cuz im stuffed to the brim of something

You know, you might want to have yourself checked out. That sounds dead-on like symptom of an eating disorder, and those things are not too good to leave untreated.

I am really not that quirky about eating food, but when I eat at home, I have my favorite fork, spoon, cups and plates. I would go as far as washing those when they are dirty instead of using other, clean dishes in the cupboard--unless I am too tired to do anything like that. I'd say I am far less quirky if sick or tired.

It only happens when i get a food that is really good and i really like it....

....I have this coffee mug that is the only mug i will drink coffe out of when im at my house....if its dirty i wont drink coffee....it makes the coffee taste better in my opinion....(although i know it really doesnt)

Oh my! I do the same thing! I love this large purple glass. I'm drinking water out of it right now. :D

Hehe. I have a purple soup mug. The thing is HUGE--and Pos loves to steal it and use it for coffee... and then he bounces off the walls for hours. Sicko (but you knew that).

Twitch, ok, just keep tabs on that overeat-vomit habit, ok? It's a bit worrying. How often does that happen, on average?

I WISH I bounced off the walls... but really.. I drink coffee all day, then go sleep :(
And I am NOT addicted to coffee!!! I can quit anytime I want to.. I just don't want to.. cause I need it.. NOW!!!!! :)

Um, I honestly cannot think of a quirk with my eating or drinking habits. I generally will prefer my beef cooked medium but, will eat it however it makes it to the table except burnt. That isn't a quirk. So, I can honestly say that I don't have one.

I keep my foods seperated & usually eat them one at a time, not mixing them. I always have- I think it has to do with enjoying the taste of each food seperately, as well as the difference in textures.

I love ice cream, too- but can't have it in the house. It doesn't last too long & I won't lose any weight!

I used to catch so much grief back in high school. My friends would intentionally stare at me to catch me doing it. Supposedly, whenever I eat, I observe my food very carefully...and after I eat each bite, I "agree" with it in some way. lol I had never noticed it before they pointed it out, but I will nod if it's good or smile or something...and make a face if I don't like it. lol Oh well.

I've also noticed that I eat things one at a time. And if I eat pepperoni pizza, I pick off the pepperoni, eat it first, then I will eat the pizza. And last thing, I swear, back in high school, we had these really yummy peanut butter sandwiches...and I'd always pick the bread out from the center and leave nothing but the crust. Then flip it, and eat the bread inside the crust. I'm weird.

My quirks depend on what I'm eating, I suppose. The biggest one I have probably deals with pizza. I will often take off all the toppings and cheese, eat them first, then scrape the sauce and that top layer of gooey dough from the crust and eat it. Then I finally eat the remaining crust.

I also have two plastic cups I prefer to use for drinks at home.
