Today's Trivial Tidbit:
On average, the typical person who doesn't live in the boondocks will spend 6 months of their lives waiting for red lights.
In 1980, the Yellow Pages accidentally listed a Texas funeral home under frozen foods.
When you flush a toilet, an invisible cloud of water [full of germs] shoots six feet in the air.
Goats' eyes have rectangular pupils.
Actually goats pupils are elongated ovals.

Eh hem.... might I remind you that the information for the trivia, quotes and history are done my me *slaps Aussie upside head*
I'm sure the information source didn't account for the fact that some people live in the boondocks... but you still encounter red lights when you re-enter civilization... So there!:moon: :rude:

I found that the term 'rectangular' is used to describe the eye by both encyclopedias and the Dairy Farmers Association. But technically you are right... they don't have cornered edges like a rectangle.

She got ya Aussie!!!:moon: :moon:
I'm a stickler for these things and was going to add to the post about rural drivers but thought that most people would be able to ratchet up their gray matter enough to figure that one out. Those goat eyes can get creepy if'n ya look at em too long. I didn't realize that Diva swung that way Aussie! I wonder what other personalities she carries.
Oh, the mooning smileys are a hoot!:winkkiss:
Swung what ways? Huh? *Slaps usantic upside the head because she knows he deserved it... somehow"
Hey Careful!
I almost swallowed my gum!
Check this one out:
Japanese bowing carries different meanings at different angles.
- A bow at an angle of five degrees means "Good day" (simple greeting).
- A bow at an angle of fifteen degrees is also a common salutation, a bit more formal it means "Good morning."
- A bow at an angle of thirty degrees is a respectful bow to indicate appreciation for a kind gesture.
- A bow at a forty-five-degree angle is used to convey deep respect or an apology.

Jake, I wonder if they have chalk marks on the walls to practice the degree method? :winkkiss:
The Chinese used to bind the womens' feet, so that the toes would become deformed:
"Besides identifying women of gentility or high-class, it prevented women from "wandering," since the bound with bound feet was unable to walk unassisted, and even going a short distance was very painful. These women had to walk with very short mincing steps and could stand only with great difficulty."
And I thought that walking 6 paces behind the male was harsh!

Men are so insecure!!! Walking behind them, binding their feet, female circumcision, hiding their faces..... Think about it!!! men are so insecure!!!!!!
Afraid is more like it.
Women are supposed to hide themselves because men can't help themselves. Apparently we bewitch them into animals or something. If a woman is raped then it is her fault.
All this from a woman who has a new blue silverado sitting in her drive and is still using the same old computer:finger:. Secure that veil and make the appointment for your circumcision right after you finish binding your feet.
The average person who answers a post shouldnt have to contend with a quasi admin sneaking in and changing a post :finger: BANE
