What's some job you've always secretly wanted to have? Something you don't really tell people because it's so ridiculous, you're slightly embarrassed? :o

A Greek Hetaera. :) Respected, revered, worshipped by the public, rich as sin, and in favor of Alexander the Great, preferably!

An ancient Greek courtesan or concubine, especially one of a special class of cultivated female companions.

_____________________

Hetaerae were also the most learned and socially free women of Greece, and were not forced into any relationships they didn't choose themselves--to do that for a man would be to anger Aphrodite, whose priestesses they also were.

Also, considering that Alexander was Greek, calling him gay would be inappropriate--simply because in Greece, relationships with both men and women were considered normal. He had several wives and mistresses, as well as alleged relationships with men that stir up the homosexuality claim. There is a lot of good info on this site (http://www.pothos.org/alexander.asp?paraID=42).

Got it......... ;)
You seem much too independent to be "kept" though Lilith. I suppose this would fall under the ridiculous, but not to assume that it wouldn't be nice to be constantly, *ahem* attended to.

Well... it was the most independent that a woman COULD be in Ancient Greece--far less "kept" and far more free and independent than wives and concubines (the latter is not the correct translation of "hetaera", btw).

I think being a dancer in Vegas would be really cool. And I've also always secretly wanted to be an interior decorator.
