This cranky old woman calls wanting an American Christian doctor. She doesn't just ask for one, she screams that she deserves it. Her tirade goes on and on until I finally hang up on her. Then she calls back three more times. I was hoping we finally got it through her racist skull that doctors are not listed by nationality or religion. They are listed by specialty and sub-specialty. I understand that a person needs to feel comfortable with their doctor. But stating that any foreign born doctor shouldn't be allowed to work here is bizarre. I have known many foreign born doctors that I would gladly have work on me. I have also seen American doctors who I wouldn't let paint nail polish on my little toe. I didn't even bother trying to explain this to her. Some people are set in their ways and the only thing that you can do is wait until they die and hope they didn't pass on their predjudices to a younger generation.

Seeing anything other than an Asian-Australian doctor is a feat of acheivement, because all our doctors either move to America or aren't working because it's not a viable career, really. A lot of people have issues seeing the Asian-Australian doctors, I don't know why - it doesn't matter to me.
