Since we are having holidays this month in a couple of countries, I was wondering what your favorite dish is.

I was a pumpkin pie virgin a few years ago. I couldn't understand *how* pumpkin pie could be a dessert - I mean....it's pumpkin....GAAK.
But my g/f's mom turned me around. And on my xmas trip to the US a few years ago she gave me my first taste of All American, five-star, home baked Pumpkin Pie.
Gimmie my green card now. I can't live without this stuff.
The whole meal is absolutely awesome, but if I had to choose one, it's gotta be the stuffing. Oh man, my mouth's watering just thinking about Stove Top stuffing with turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, the turkey, cranberry sauce, peas, warm biscuits with the butter running down my chin, then homemade punpkin or apple pie, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Oh man, my pants are getting tight just thinking about it. I'm gonna go undo my fly, unzip my pants, and fall asleep in front of a football game on the couch. *burrrrp*

It's the punkin' pie...with a big ole gob of Cool Whip on top...yum. That's the stuff dreams are made of. THEN, there's the green bean casserole...followed by the turkey sandwich you eat the next day :) hehe
oh my god...this is so tough...
I love sweet potatoes. I love my mom's homemade stuffing. I love my mom's mashed potatoes. My grandma makes a kickass turkey.
Buuuuut...It'd have to be "other". Mainly because I can eat my weight in my mother's deviled eggs, and the cornbread that she and my grandmother make is fantastic. Also, my grandma makes this zucchini cornbread that's absolutely TO DIE FOR.
Christ, I'm going to miss gaining 20 pounds over Thanksgiving.

Hey...leave the Americans for those who don't get thanksgiving at all! i.e. - ME!
And where'd you get a look-in at my plan?

(yes, my mom made a turkey 2 days before Thanksgiving...she's a goober...but it was good :))
This past weekend, I had a turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce CALZONE from the L Street Diner in Southie! Wicked awesome.

Stuffing!
Yummy!
Then ya gotta fry it the next day and make it crispy and put leftover gravy on it!

Are we related in some way PB??? I love that! I'll have to scrutinize the people sitting at the Turkey Day table.
