Diva mentioned this on the front page, the BBC also have an article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_1723000/1723595.stm) on the thing.
It's only a matter of time before these learn how to walk on land, and when they do, i want to hire one to patrol my street... that would sort out the damn pest kids much better than my lego hunter drones that don't exist.
There is film footage as well, but i'm on a slow connection so can't tell if it's any good.
Can you imagine what else must be down there? This thing would be better than Robocop! Those tentacles could reach multiple thugs! And although I've never been stung by one... I heard it hurts worse than lemon in a paper cut. Ouch! That would deter me, that's for sure!

Just like when you're on a plane and suddenly become aware of the vast distance between you and the earth, looking over the side of a boat it's easy to imagine that there's things living down there, beneath the surface, that are as big as your boat.
The creature reminds me of John Wyndham's brilliant
The Kraken Wakes (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0140010750/qid%3D1009213091/026-0009721-4250038), which has terrifying scenes of jellyfish like things emerging from the sea and attacking a coastal town...
When I was a kid I remember falling into a lake. I was only waist high. I stood there fussing when all of the sudden something brushed up against my leg. I flew out of the water. We seem to forget that there is a whole other world below the water.
