View Full Version : Goals
We all have goals that we make throughout our lives. If you had to sum up all of them, what did the majority ultimately involve?
Here are some examples:
Money = financial security, taking care of family, paying bills.
Happiness = Love, self improvement
Career = Job related
Knowledge = Learning for yourself, not for a job.
Power = Anything to get to make the rules.

Happiness. That's all anyone really wants, I think. At least, that's all we'll leave here with.

it depends. My goals are based around having more freedom to do a greater variety of tasks and in order to do so I need money for a greater variety of choice.
It's not that I'm materialistic, simply that I need a steady income to live more comfortably.

if you are not happy then what does the rest of it stand for?

unless you're a millionaire, then things would change for you, you'd wish you had less.
That's why I listed examples. Some people are in a place were financially they need to feel more comfortable before attaining their goal of happiness. Other people need their career to succeed in order to be happy. There's nothing wrong with any of those answers. Just answer honestly. :D

It's all about love for me. I'm one of the last romantics.
money just isn't anything to me, I can't explain it. I just want love and happiness.
(everyone go "ohhhh")
Without happiness, nothing else matters.

Mine is a bit weird in the fact I not sure what to vote for you see.
I have always wanted to learn "c programming" and I guess that comes under "knowledge", but the side effect is that it helps with my job, so its "career" aswell.

For me it would be knowledge. I would hope that this would lead to happiness. In a perfect utopia I would be happy all of the time. But I don't always have control over my happiness, while I have more control over knowledge and what level of knowledge I want to attain.
