View Full Version : Collections?
We all have a collection of some sort, be it large or small. What's yours?
Mine would be music, mainly. Between my mp3s, CDs, tapes, and vinyl records I have quite a bit of music...the next thing on the list is books, and I'm just going to leave that alone. :P
I collect drums. All Kinds shapes and sizes and colors. I have one kit worth $4,000+ an old Ludwig from the late 60's and tons of other kits
I have played for over 17 years Used to be the drummer for the trash/punk band Brutal Juise and MirrowMirrow when I was a young-un now I just play gigs when ask and do various jam sessions
Excellent! I'd like to learn how to play the guitar, but I've never had much patience when it came to playing music. I failed out of my first year in band playing snare drum, tried to learn guitar about a year ago, said "fuck it" and sold it, and just recently acquired a Gibson Memphis. I'm arguing over whether I should sell it or keep it and try to learn. :P
Takes years of give and take and lots of patience and practice when learning to play. But in the end you wind up with something noone else has.....A style of your own and usually someone elses old lady

have a collection of tapes, video footage I've taken over the past few years, numbering more than 200 dv tapes alone, quite a few betacam sp, hi8 and that's about it for the moment... it's quite a lot of memories to have.
That sounds really cool, warza. I want to invest in a video camera myself, as I like the idea of filming places that I've been for others to see ( and not use it just for sexual purposes)
Addendum: I was curious as to what your personal favorite tapes were...

One of my favourite edits is this one Lake Parade 2002 (http://www.main-vision.com/richard/lp2002.html) which I shot and edited during the last lake parade. it's quite fun to watch.
I just filmed this year's so I need to spend some time getting my editing system to work again and then I can play a little more.
I don't have any prefered videos though... so many hrs of footage that it's hard to find moments I enjoy, suppose the Crete edit from 2000 was one of them...
too many different subjects, not enough time.
addendum: note the slowed down part... and the music
I still have my collection of baseball cards from when I was growing up. Every now and then I'll buy a pack and add to the collection, but not very often.
Mostly cd's a photos I've taken.
