I have had a few people ask about spamming, so I decided to explain what it is and hopefully clarify what is appropriate and what is NOT appropriate.

Spamming has two separate levels.

1. Site Spamming. The worst and what I loathe:
People who sign up simply to post their site. There are a number of ways to be listed on NCT. This is NOT one of them. The Cool Links and Flash Zone section is for entertainment ONLY. I do not want people to post their site in it. This is stated on the board and in the registration. My reason is simple: I want NCT to be a fun place for people to chat, not some 'Top Site'. It also means no links in signatures. You have a section in your profile for that. I've actually had people come on and post to visit their site ‘because they think it’s the greatest’ in the link section. As silly as that may seem, It's happened. In order to be fair I have to ask everyone not to post their site.

2. Post whore spamming.:
This is when you post for points and not for conversation. While I encourage people to get involved in the different threads, I don’t want people to post for the sake of getting their name listed or increasing their post count.

**Just a note about number 2. I do not want people to feel uncomfortable about posting, so let me clarify this a little more. I realize that there are going to be times when people are not on the boards. I don't want that to stop you from posting on threads. Hell, I go through and post on everything that I want to when I get a chance.

The reason I put this in is that I had people responding to themselves, or saying off the wall comments that had nothing to do with the thread. I want you guys to enjoy yourselves. If you want to post something about your site, please contact me beforehand.

This board has a very kick-back and have fun atmosphere, so don't feel intimidated. Right now we've got a great crew. I thank you all for your friendship and enjoy posting with all of you.

Now get out there and post!
