View Full Version : Which Browser... Any Why?
Everyone has their favorite browser to use. SysLord mentioned Mozilla. Which one do you prefer and why? Does it give you all the options as the others?
I voted for Mozilla but I also use Konqueror (which is being used in the new Safari browser on Mac OS X), Opera and Mozilla's smaller sidekick 'Phoenix'. Reason being that all of these browsers do much more in interpreting and representing the web as it should by applying proper open standards. And although most of these browsers are also open-source software (except Mozilla) they are also far more bug free (and more secure!) than IE is (and ever will be). To the defense of IE you can say it does a very hard job at correcting 'bad HTML' but unfortunately that has the horrible side effect that way too many sites are 'IE only' and look horrible in other browsers. Apart from that IE is nothing more than 'a white rectangle'.
I'm boring, as I just use IE. Although I read an article on the various add-ons that Mozilla has, and was intrigued...

I used to have to answer IE and admit that it was a shame about netscape. I'm beginning to really like Mozilla Firebird these days though (thanks to Anton): websites really do look better in it, it's very easy on the system, and IE actually looks clumsy in comparison.
What OS are you using, hollow? And Happy Birthday, by the way. Did you get the new computer?

Internet Explorer all the way, however have tried all the one Syslord has said, but i'm sticking with IE as my main one and just use the others to check if they work :)
You guys should try Opera. So many options. Pop-up windows blocked option, etc. Faster, too.
