This is a question for both men and woman.

For the men, it's what you like on yourself (even if you don't wear it that way now). Do you have it that way? If not, then why?

For the women, what you prefer on a man. Does your boyfriend have it the way you like it? If not, would you ask him to change?

A 5 o'clock shadow ussually isn't a bad thing at my age. Plus shaving is an unpleasant hassle for me. So for the past couple of years, I've normally just shaved every few days instead of every morning.

I used to let it grow for a few days when I was in England and it didn't matter, now that I'm back in Switzerland though I prefer to have it clean shaven.

During the warmer weather, I like the goatee. Once the cold weather hits, I go with the beard. Something I've done for the past 3 years, and will probably continue to do so.

So, what do you ladies like better on me?? Other than yourselves, of course. :winkkiss:

i prefer either a goatee or clean shaven for my choice in men....a goatee is sexy but a clean shaven face is nice and smooth to touch (plus it doesnt irritate your skin if your getting close)

I do clean shaven, 'cause it's what the lady likes. But, I did have a beard once upon a time, went to a goatee, and then did the five o' clock shadow off and on a few times. Now, I prefer clean-shaven, because it feels cooler and not as itchy.

I usually prefer a beard, simply because 5 minutes after I shave, my face feels like 150 grit sandpaper. The past couple of summers I've been clean shaven. The things we do for women :) She likes me clean shaven because she says I look more like I did in high school (we're in our early 30s). We didn't really know each other for the past 10 years, so she didn't know about my beard. Of course, it scared my 6yo daughter when I first shaved, she didn't know who I was :)

I'm with Red on this. I LOVE smooth faces. There's nothing worse than kissing someone and having your lips ripped off. At least, it feels that way... :whome:

Maybe I'm just a rough tough cream puff, but I still really enjoy a scruffy face. It's nice to have contrast to my skin...and if you're careful you don't HAVE to get beard burn.

I have had a goatee for the last 10 years and wouldn't like to part with it. It's getting awfully grey though :)

If I could be bothered to shave everyday, I would. I much prefer to be clean shaven, but I usually leave it 2-4 days, when it begins to look messy.

You can tell what I want to get out of the night by whether I've shaved or not, if I think I'm going to be intimate then it's shaved... if I think it's without intimacy then it's five o'clock shadow, an if I'm in England then I let it grow(because where I was going out I didn't fin the women attractive... which was a shame as it was a short walk back to my place...)

What about shaving over body parts...? could we start a thread on that or does it become indecent?
