View Full Version : Weeding Out Dead Weight
I sent the weekly crier and got back a bunch of returned emails this week. When people sign up, I want them to be a part of the forum. I decided to start deleting those who's email address is not valid. Just an FYI.
Just be sure you don't delete user accounts for any sort of bounced emails. Sometimes it is possible that temporary mail(server) problems prevent proper mail delivery.
Unfortunately most of the emails are from people who have never posted, so this is my only way of contacting them. Do you have any other suggestions? I'd love to hear them!
I suggest you sent a second email blast after a while. If you get a second error from the same address. then take action. But then again, if they are none-posters: kill them :)
In this politically correct day and age, I think "kill them" is a little too strong. I'd prefer you use the term, "Make them 'dissappear' " better.

Kill them isn't to strong for me. In fact I think I might start using kill as a general purpose vowel like... So after Diva kills the mails to them, she can kill all the ones who don't kill! Wow I must be a little crazy tonight. Its a sign of boredom, but I stickby the use of kill them at least. :D

I haven't experienced death yet then, if you delete those members then you'll be removing 195 user names last time I checked. which meanst that you'll only have around 130 accounts active of which only around 30 are regularly used

I decided not to keep it. I have too many hacks as it is and this was more work than I originally thought it would be.
