View Full Version : Would You Still Want It
Student wins free car (http://boston.com/dailynews/339/region/Student_wins_free_car_for_findP.shtml) for finding ''hidden message'' in medical textbooks.... Author who gave away the '65 Thunderbird - Doctor, nudist, convicted drug addict and pedophile (http://www.nostatusquo.com/ACLU/NudistHallofShame/Dubin.html) .
Would you keep the car?
Yes. A prize is a prize. If Adolf Hitler cam back from the dead and gave me £10 I'd take it.
What does it matter if somebody is a paedophole when it comes to recieving gifts.
The student took the time to find the hidden message so he deserves somethign for his effort, if that something is a car from paedophile, so be it.
I'd take the car and run him over with it. Several times.
Ah, but then I'd be no better than him. I guess the Girl Scout answer would have to be that I would sell the car and donate the money to a charity that assists the kind of people he has injured in the past.
Now, if I could get a higher price for the car after I ran him over with it - then I could have both...right??
In response to my Anton. I don't know if it should matter what a person "is" when considering whether to accept something from them. Prize or gift. I guess it would matter as to weather I was in a position to be able to turn it away, ya know? If I was starving on the street and I won a bagle from a bad person, I don't know that I'd reject it. But if I wasn't hungry, then I would...at least I believe I would. I wouldn't judge any one else who chose differently, I would just accept/turn it away for my own selfish reasons.

I'd be very uneasy until I found out whether or not he'd actually committed a sexual assault in the car; the best solution would probably be to sell it and pay some of the proceeds towards Childline or one of the other Survival Abuse charities.
That may sound disgracefully, even meretriciously worthy; but I did say some...

I want a thunderbird, who cares how I won it as long as I had the papers to say it was mine no strings attached..

Amaurote places hand on heart melodramatically and links other hand with Joe McCarthy in a vaguely homo-erotic, Freemason-like gesture:
I have not and and never have been a member of the Michael Jackson Party. I call on everyone here to note that fact.
Actually, all this is complete humbug on my part. I'd certainly sell the car for cash, but then again, I'd have no choice - I have no drivers' license, not even a stolen one. I do have a provisional license, which is due to elapse in 2025, by which time I'm hoping that matter/anti-matter booths will have displaced the automobile as the main form of transport.
