If that's Andre Dawson's notion of being a role model, all role models should be locked up in maximum security prisons :)

Colemanballs (http://www.colemanballs.f2s.com/) is a database full of sports-related gaffes, and its been kicking around for a few years now. My favourite sporting Colemanball would be Jimmy McGee, the Scottish athletics commentator, for his classic observation on the final 300 metres in a long distance race:

"Watch her spread her legs and show her class."

However, Colemanballs also traditionally incorporates non-sporting gaffes, of which the best is surely this refreshingly honest one, from the newly elected President Figueiredo of Brazil, in 1979:

"I intend to open this country up to democracy, and anyone who is against that I will jail, I will crush."

Of course, those were pre-Spin Doctor days...
