View Full Version : Interview
Well, my job interview today went well. I think I did ok. I was there for just over a half hour. They gave me a small tour of the part of the plant I would be working in if hired. This place really knows how to take care of its employees. Last year, they took the entire plant o Darien Lake, they've taken the entire plant out to dinner. They have a huge company picnic every year, a huge Christma party, a great benefit package, 401k, profit sharing, etc. I hope I get this job. I REALLY hope I get this job.
I'll keep ya posted.
Fingers crossed Boozer. What's the job about?
They call the position "gate keeper." Basically, I drive around on a motorized pallet jack, delivering inventory to the lines that need it. A TON of paperwork involved in it. And with my clumsy ass, I know I'll fall off that pallet jack at least once a day. It's an all right job, and the pay is pretty good for the area. $8.52 and hour, plus unlimited overtime.
Was hoping to be driving the sit down forklifts, but this will work.
Stay tuned.......

Good luck sweetie! That's awesome...I'm crossing my fingers for you...
And toes and eyes and whatever else I can manage.
Me too! Ouch!
/me whispers to kitty not to try to cross something
Thanks everyone. (Hey, Diva, want me to rub that for ya?? *ducks*)
Good luck, Boozer. I'm rooting for you. It sounds like a great opportunity to make some "phat cash". I think that's what the kids call it these days. :D
Thanks man. I'm hoping I get it, but ya never know. I had to tell them about my two prior back injuries, and that changed the whole aura of the interview. It shouldn't really matter, because I won't be lifting anything by hand.
'I am the key master, are you the gate keeper?'
Zuul will rise again :D

Who you gonna call?
/me starts wailing the theme song
Nothing yet...:(
/me look at the phone anxiously.
Why don't you call them Boozer? There's nothing wrong with showing some initiative.
