View Full Version : Super Heros?
My eight year old son just ask me who my favorite hero was when I was a boy. I thought it would be interesting to see everyones superheros. Who was your superhero has a child?
I always thought that Batman was particularly kickass. A millionaire with a bunch of awesome tech gadgets and a bad-ass ride. Mind you, I'm not referring to the Adam West Batman, but the Michael Keaton-afterward Bat-fellers. Plus, Catwoman was just hot. Who could resist a blonde in black polished leather?
/me looks at Diva and starts thinking.
:D
Mine was Red Sonja, not the movie version, but the comics, caz we have something in common, and because she was an independent chica.
I think it would be between Batman and Superman.
Batman was always kick ass!!! He was a self made superhero. Had to learn all the stuff himself, have it made, etc. When I was younger, I thought, "Yeah, I'm gonna do that, too, when I grow up and get rich!!"
Spiderman was cool, too. I always imagined crawling up the side of the next door neighbors house and peeking in on their daughter. (Hey, I was a kid!! And she was HOT!!!)

I still read comics on occasion, and I like anime....
/me shrugs.
Oh GOD no. I hate anime. Japanimation rots!!
I love it! There's some really good ones out there....
Do you guys remember the roadrunner show? Did you watch it?
I remember watching it every Saturday morning.
I always wanted to be Wonder Woman or one of Charlies' Angels.

*hides*
as to your question above, "Do you guys remember the roadrunner show? Did you watch it?" yes i did. cept it was all of Looney tunes, i used to be obsessed w/that show or something.
Yeah, Looney Tunes. Its amazing how you can watch and be entertained by a cartoon with no words. I watched the coyote and roadrunner alot, too.
Hell yeah. What happened to those good cartoons we had?? Now we got Spongebob Squared!ck and the Powder Room Girls. What eve happened to cartoons like Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, etc. Hell, even Scooby-doo was 10x better than a lot of the crap that's on now.
everything else has been done, perhaps, and the cartoons today are only copies, poor ones at that sometimes, but i must admit i like some of the new ones, such as are on adult swim.

Wonder Woman was the coolest -- not only did she have an invisible plane, she had that lasso that made people tell the truth (gotta love that bondage stuff) really cool bracelets, a tiara (ok that was tacky) and kick ass red leather boots.
As for old cartoons - Johnny Quest was one of my favorites (Race Bannon was hot), and when I was much much older, too old for cartoons, I used to get a kick out of Gem and the Holograms.

Race Bannon ... Hadji? I didn't like them. Seems like they were YES men to Dr. Quest and Johnny.

Anime is great JakeD and there are some really great plot lines out there. (Jubei is kickass, so is Kenshin, if you know who they are)
I never really had a favourite super hero though If I had to pick one it would have to be Wolverine
I always wanted to be superwoman.
