You've probably heard most, if not all of them. Which one was heard the most?

The barn thing. I had a problem with closing doors when I was younger.

my mum is always telling me, do you think i'm made of money.

I have a habit of leaving things switch on when I not using them, unfortunately i'm like a goldfish got a 4 second memory :)

You know, I have to admit that I use "because I said so" all the time. If you don't, she'll try and get you sidetracked so she doesn't have to do whatever it is you want her to do.

Whenever I say it, I cringe. But I'm the daddy & I shouldn't have to explain my reasoning. How difficult is it to understand "you need to clean your room"?

I was always asked if I raised in a barn. One time I shot my mouth off and said, "No, but I was raised BY a barn." My momma tanned my hide. Never did that again. :whome:

Hot showers till the tank ran cold,,,, leaving the door open so the air conditioner ran constantly, or staring into the refrigerator trying to decide what to nosh on whilst the cool air bled out, I always heard the money phrase. Of course it was put to me in various ways. "Do you think money grows on trees??" "You think I'm made of money?" "Where you gettin' all this money to pay for this?"
