View Full Version : oh ye olde village person
Villager

Those of you who know me already will read little new here. My name is Dean, seventeen years of age and I'm born 'n bred in a wee village in the south of England. The likes of Hollowearth and Amaurote will know me as a southern peasant, and rightly so. I am working class, and I'm proud to be so (ignore the fact that I'm not working right now).
I've known aussie, Amaurote, Hollowearth, red and Lucy since way back when Monochromism.net was something to be enjoyed. And even though now my focal interest is with AKpCEP.com, (look Alex, I'm site-whoring (he'd be proud)), I find nochicktrix to be of equal merit and interest. The people here seem intelligent and funny, and at the end of the day those are the same qualities found in all my friends.
I go to sixth form college, and when that ends I shall go to University (in Scotland, should things go to plan) to study English Literature and History, those being my academic interests. I play football for my local team, and I run. Keeping healthy and pushing myself go hand in hand with both, and cross-country running does no end of good to help clear my head. I write poetry, i write ‘articles’, both I find to be excellent outlets for both thoughts and creativity.
I have ambition. I have no career plans nor the like, but I want to see the world, with the one I love and make a family with the same. I am happy. I am who and what I want to be. I’ve been accused of holding ‘pro-fascist’ views, and although that’s a bit strong, I do have strong views. I have much distaste for liberal socialism and if I thought it possible I would run for prime Minister. Then abolish the monarchy, put prisoners to work etc etc etc etc. Okay I’m a fascist.
I don’t know what else to say.
you filthy little facist bastard people like you should be hung drawn and quartered. Abolish the monachy? why? you treasonous little........
Ah the hell with it welcome to the boards mate Im glad you decided to give us some of your time. You seem to already know your way around so go ye forth and post young villager

Abolish the monarchy because they represent half of everything that is wrong with this country. Plus we could auction their stuff.
And oh yes, I do idolise Dick van Dyke..
Welcome to the boards, Villager! *smacks on back of head for spamming* Keep it up and you'll need that running experience... ;)
Thank you for all of the lovely poetry. I hope you have a great time on the boards. From the people you already know... I'll say you have great taste in friends.
Hark! Do I hear the footsteps of dear Amaurote and Hollowearth? *Rubs hands together* This otta be good!
Welcome to Nochicktrix Villager!
Be sure to send me a flyer on the auction!

And the royal family represent the other half: the best solution would be to put them all against a wall and shoot them, but I fear that the wall in question would have to be the Great Wall of China - 'cause there are a good few thousand of the shameless parasites, hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, locusts and cockroaches infesting the current Civil List...
Yes, welcome back, Vill: you were always one of the talented debaters on Mono and Akpcep, your nefarious quasi-fascism aside, so it's great to see you back again. Incidentally, the last I heard, Villager was monomanically obsessed with a biography of Benito Mussolini. You'll soon get over it and convert to liberal socialist Fabianism like myself and Hollowearth. You will, in the words of the old song, learn to "pass Il Duce on the left-hand side". At least, I think those were the words of the old song. Actually, in case anyone wants to know just how authoritarian Villager is, we should really make him take the test at politicalcompass.org (http://www.politicalcompass.org): I think he took it when Mono was functional, but I'm mighty curious to see just how authoriarian and autocratic he is. The main proof will be his outright refusal to participate on the grounds that he has to organize a paramilitary coup of Parliament in time for tiffin.
Seriously, though: congratulations on your engagement, and all the best for the future, both in your poetry and in your wedded bliss/matrimonial slave state under the thumb of your exultant all-powerful She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed Ducita/wife.

Oh how fun. Some of my favorite posters from the other site here too! *avoids smack of authority from Diva*
Welcome Vill. Congrats on your engagement!
I have enjoyed your poetry and commentary.

Well hey sweetie!! Getting married?? I hope she makes you happy to the core! Gotta ask, what is sixth form college, is that like a jr. college in the states?
Hey Vill, let me officially welcome you to the boards. I love those poems, man. You've got talent just pouring out of you. I'm glad you decided to share them with us.
Congradulations on taking the plunge! From the looks of your poems, she would be your soul-mate. I'm glad you found her. I wish you all the luck in the world.
I lookforward to seeing you post in the forums. You have some great things said about you here. I can't wait to see them in action.
On a totally unrelated matter: You posted eight more words than Amaurote. I am impressed. ;)

Har Har.
Taking five minutes out of my imminent March on London, I took the test, which produced the following results:
Economic Left/Right: -2.38
Authoritarian/Libertarian: 2.31
Which suits me fine. It's interesting that while the social and economic policies pursued by history's great dictators were for a wholly selfish and 'unfair' goal, they present some very appealing principles completely absent in today's sickeningly liberal society.
Anyhow.

Very interesting, Vill: those results suggest latent Stalinist, rather than Fascist propensities, in that you favour a controlled economy; then again, Mussolini started off as a pro-syndicalist socialist, and his corporatist economic policy could be seen as "controlled" in some way, though in no way comparable to the dirigisme of the Eastern Bloc. Would I be wrong in characterizing you as a - I can barely bring myself to say the words - reconstructed Thatcherite?

Amaurote unconsciously crosses himself before heading off to Ebay to superstitiously order silver bullets, running water, Stars of David, garlic, crucifixes and fire, post-haste...

While I certainly do agree with a degree of state intervention in big business, it would neither be as clumsy and short-sighted as Mussolini's Corporative State, nor as counter-productive as Stalin's policy. Thatcher, on the other hand, was an exquisite dame.
Save her unsavoury stinginess with regards to public investment, she was a remarkably focused leader (not that her stinginess detracted from that). As a leader I would, however, probably become irretrievably embroiled in a Hitler and his cream buns like scam, and send the ecomony even further down the pan.

Hee hee hee, you're lucky...I've dated quite a few guys who have already started going bald. Before the age of 20.
Villager, you are in for much worse to come lol. At 33, the quantity of white and grey hears on my head is plentiful. I blame the gf for that ;) Still I'd love to go grey or white in a stylish way :)

Well I'm *fairly* sure that whatever your devious mind is thinking wouldn't offend my sensibilities too badly.
I'm not signing anything, though.
Devious doesn't even touch my mind... It's scared of it. :cheesy: I'll bet you look edible when you wake up.
