Jesus, ignorance being cured may just start solving the problems with all the other things!

if you could cure ignorance we could probably cure a lot of other things as well...ppl wouldnt have unprotected sex with ppl who they didnt know the medical background of and therefore less aids, teens wouldnt smoke 'because it was cool' and other ppl would try and quit...less cancer (also everyone would wear sunscreen so less skin cancer :) ) and smart ppl usually see that violence is not the answer and we could stop that too....ignorance is society's biggest problem

I'd just solve ignorance. Sure, it may end up solving the other conditions, but compared to those, ignorance is a huge problem that plagues our world.

Voted for that too--for the same reason exactly!

I'll smoke you one, but only if you'll be back for breakfast.

I'll smoke one, too, if it'll get me high...

What a guy!

If you're in trouble he will save the day.
He's brave and he's fearless, come what may.
With-out him the mission would go astray.

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer.
With-out him life would be much grimmer.
He's handsome, trim and no one's slimmer.
He will never need a zimmer.

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer.
More reliable than a garden strimmer.
He's never been mistaken for Yul Brenner.
He's not bald and he's head doesn't glimmer.
Master of the wit and the repartee.
His command of space corp directives is uncanny.
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me, ask..

Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer.
He's also a fantastic swimmer.
And if you play your cards right,
Then he just might come 'round for dinner.

Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer,
No rhymes left now apart from quimmer
He'd better fade us out before we get to schlimmer
Fade out you stupid plimmer

Ah yes, to cure ignorance... though I agree fully it would help alleviate so many of our other problems- I am afraid too many of those we cured of ignorance would turn to violence as their means of dealing with the reality of 'life'. Ignorance is bliss, no?

Welcome to NCT, Modubb. :D

I think it depends on how they are enlightened. If they live in the US now then yes. What you don't understand you kill. Hopefully we will rise above that again and enlighten people to the wonderful world and all it has to offer.

Cancer- because I'm a survivor, so many friends have had it, & a close friend is presently dieing from it. HORRIBLE disease.

Hi Modubb- introduce yourself so we know who we're talking with. Welcome!

Ignorance - in the sense it's meant here, I believe.

We're all ignorant in some respects... but some folks... well, as Shirley would say, "Dey is jes' ignunt."

I would cure AIDS...
I had an uncle that died from complications of AIDS when I was younger. My mom had him move in with us, and we took care of him in his final days. It's a horriable way to die, like many others things I'm sure.
