When someone coughs, do you think of The Stand? Stephen King is what adult nightmares are made of. SARS (http://www.cnn.com/2003/HEALTH/03/23/mystery.virus.breakdown/index.html) is travelling around the world and everyone is getting antsy. They should, too. Americans love to take drugs. You have the sniffles and start popping antibiotics like candy. The problem with that is your body becomes tolerant and you need a higher dose the next time those sniffles start. If it ends up NOT being viral, then you just became less immune for nothing. I was told to get some Benadryl for my cold. I went to the pharmacy and stood in the middle of hypocrondriac heaven. I never thought to ask which kind of Benadryl. I placed a couple of boxes side by side. Each highlighted different promises of relief. All of them had the same ingredients. I guessed and walked away.
A plane landed in California and was quarantined after five people from Tokyo had flu like symptoms. Imagine being on a plane and someone starts coughing. You're fucked. Now imagine them laughing and saying it was a joke. They're fucked.
