Actually, I'm sure that Aussie is right on this one - it humanizes Bush considerably. My respect for Oliver Cromwell soared after I discovered that, in his youth, he was wont to daub his warty, ill-hewn body with cowshit, and afterwards to dance lasciviously around a barn in the company of the opposite sex. Of course, the chroniclers don't actually record how it was possible to dance lasciviously around a barn while daubed in cowshit, unless the opposite sex in question was of the ruminant, quadruple-bellied variety...
