I was talking to Banger about shopping and told him I would rather go to the doctors then shop for shoes.

We all need to get check ups, but which place do you hate to go to the most? Which one would you rather go to?

If i had to choose one, i would say doctors. Even though both are frightening; one that drills in your mouth and the other poking you w/ many needles. Both are a bearer of good and bad news.
But i guess, my comfort leads more towards doctors.

The dentist. I'm not really scared of either, I just don't like getting nekkid in an air conditioned room with nothing but a paper shirt to keep me warm.

Mmm, you all drama queens. Or else very unhealthy people. Why does a doctor's visit have to be perse scaring? If you go to your doc for a flu, he/she won't bite ya!

Even though I have nothing to fear from the dentist, save for one cavity, I still despise him and his pointy metal objects both. Give me a doctor any day. Hell, just make it a sexy nurse that's about to give me a "physical". *tee hee*

Just the sound of the dentist office makes me scared!

Assuming no needles involved, I guess I prefer the doctor. If there are needles, then all bets are off - I have a phobia of needles and sometimes pass out or throw up when I get jabbed.

Last time I went to get shots I hyperventilated, nearly passed out, sweat buckets, and had a sky high heart rate. I had to lie down in the doctor's office for at least half an hour before I was safe to drive home.

I hate going to the dentist, they can numb the hell out of my mouth I can still feel the metal scrapping my teeth. Why the they do that is nothing more than torture..... I think they love to be in control of "PAIN"

The wisdom teeth weren't that bad, personally. I've felt way more pain at the doctor's.

What happened at the doc's then?

This nasty thing called a needle-less shot. They use air pressure to force a vaccine in through your skin. I still have scars and that happened back in middle school. Damn required Hepatitis B vaccines. I may have mentioned before that I rarely bruise, not even from the wisdom teeth thing...(with 4 impacted teeth, pushing on my other teeth...they had to break em into pieces to get em out), but this thing left me bruised and sore for weeks.

Sounds like the needle is preferred. Never had one of those I have to say. Reminds me of Star Trek :)

It was the most garsh awful thing EVER. They did it at my middle school actually, as part of some health deally...they made my counselor go up on stage and get one to demonstrate how it was SO much less painful than a needle. She cried. We were scared shitless.

I suppose it is Startrekky. Oye!

We used to get these little 'scars' made on our arm as a protection against whatever disease. That was pretty scary too.
