New User Titles

I decided to add some more levels to the user titles to shake things up a bit.


Newbie (Minimum Posts: 0)
Cherub (Minimum Posts: 1 - 49)
Grunt (Minimum Posts: 50 - 399)
Soldier (Minimum Posts: 400 - 999)
Veteran (Minimum Posts: 1000 - )


I also welcome any suggestions, should you think of different names to be used. I prefer the first two to stay... but the rest is up for grabs. :)

I have a few nice ones in mind, but I will make an effort to pick some more suitable ones that fit in good with the ones that are already here.

i.e. yellow ones ideally would work the best seeing as you have yellow already :)

I'll make a selection and put them somewhere for everyone to view and comment on :)

I have no problem with changing the names... I would like some help though. Throwing out one or two is a start... but a new theme would help. Just think about the names that we have now and what you would change them to:

I would like to keep these... Unless you can REALLY choose good replacements

How about using names from the famous card game 'Magic, the Gathering'? There are literally thousands of interesting names!

Oooh! I like that. Can you name off some titles and what level they would be?

Um, I'll brush up on my Greek mythology and get back to you as soon as I can...if anyone else feels like sharing in the meantime, by all means :)

I believe Titan would be a pretty high level, Cherub could stay low, maybe followed up with the messenger god (was that Nike or was that someone else?)...Um...I'll keep thinking, I promise :D

In the meantime, here's an explanation of all the choirs of angels...From highest to lowest in the hierarchy...


Angels of Pure Contemplation:
Seraphim
The Seraphim are closest to God and sometimes referred to as "burning fires of love" because they are angels of the purest love. Rulers of the Seraphim are Seraphiel, Jahoel, Metatron, and Michael.

Cherubim
These are the voices of divine wisdom, possessing a deep insight into God's secrets. Chiefs of the Cherubim are Ophaniel, Rikbiel, Cherubiel, Raphael, and Gabriel.

Thrones
Thrones are the angels of peace and submisssion. They reside in the area of the cosmos where material form begins to take shape.

Angels of the Cosmos:
Dominions
These angels regulate the duties of the angels, making known the commands of God.

Powers
These are known as potentates. They fight against evil spirits who attempt to wreak chaos through human beings. The chief is said to be either Samael or Camael, both angels of darkness.

Virtues
The Virtues are sometimes referred to as "the shining ones." They Govern all of nature. They have control over seasons, stars, moon; even the sun is subject to their command. They are also in charge of miracles and provide courage, grace, and valor.

Angels of the World:
Principalities
These angels have "princely powers" and watch over the actions of the Earth's nations and cities. They also govern and protect religion on earth. Their chiefs are Requel, Anael, Cerviel, and Nisroc.

Archangels
The Archangels communicate between God and mortals. They are also in charge of Heaven's armies in the battle against hell, and supervise the guardian angels. They themselves are guardian angels to great people, such as heads of religions and states.

Angels
These angels are closest to the material world and human begins. They deliver the prayers to God and God's answers and other messages to humans.

All the angels of the nine Choirs are actively engaged in the mission of helping humans gain entrances into the Kingdom of Heaven.

I'm having trouble finding a definitive guide to who's who of greek gods and goddesses. I know Pan was waaay low on the scale, and the Titans were an earlier creation but were really powerful...but other than that it's all iffy. I don't know if we want anyone to be the Furies...oye! Help, anyone?

Here's what I have so far. I am trying to stick to names that are recognizable by most people. I would love any suggestions. I also do not need to keep to just Greek mythology. If you think that you have a better name than I have picked, please tell me. This is only what I have found so far. Nothing is in stone yet. :)

The title Troll is kinda iffy no? Since on most boards a troll is someone who comes to the site just to start trouble or confrontation.

Hmm...there's always pee-on or scape goat... Maybe servant? ;) Trolls make me think of the Three Billy Goats Gruff or whatever that children's story was. In any case...instead of troll...maybe that could be mesenger? Followed by Chorus (an element typically present in Greek stories)?
