I had a question about different phrases people use who are from different regions.

For example, I'll say "wicked" (as "very"), and this seems to be a New England thing.

But I also say "you all" and "your neck of the woods" (when Im going to be near where someone lives, I'll say 'I'm going to be up in your neck of the woods). I've been informed that these are both very redneck (Must come from where I grew up).

Any thoughts? Anyone else have little phrases or words that are more of a dialect thing?

In Montana we say pop instead of soda. I shouldn't say we. THEY say pop instead of soda. "Crick" instead of creek. "beg" instead of bag. But I guess those are pronunciation.

I often say that something is golden, if it's good and all take care of. I also use the term "wicked cool".

Y'all. Gals. Folks. Gotdamn. Como. Do whuut?(yes, intentionally misspelled for pronunciational purposes *stares at a certain pair of ladies*) Crazy. Wild. Over 'ere. Los chaparros. Over thar. 'Round this neck of the woods. En este caso. Chief.

There's various exclamations that sound pretty odd due to their pronunciation (being run together with a slight drawl=comedy gold, so I've been told), and other good little things that I've picked up from the various hillbillies, honky-tonkers, farmers, cowboys, and Mexicans around here.

Y'all is one of the most well known phrases.
