Hello Everyone

Hi Everyone,

Seeing as this is my post thought this be a good place to start :)

I'm 23, and currently working as a web developer in the UK, graphics and that flash stuff are not my thing at all, I have very little imagination, I love vBulletin and everything to do with it, which is how I happen to find this site :) php is my strong and weak point, I cant do everything but then who can ?

I'm single right now, and not really looking either, quite happy being single.

Anyway I really love this site, its so clean and nice to use very good design, very impressed with it :)

not really, I've never actually tried but there is one guy I work with who is really good at using rhino (http://wwwrhino3d.com), you heard of that ? Its a nurbs modeller for windows, not sure how similar it is to 3d studio max, I've never used either of them.

What was you trying to do ? or wanting to do ? I'll pick his brains for you :)

Yes I've heard of rhino before but I've never seen it. I've seen 3ds and poser before but I don't really have any experience.
Ah don't bother troubling yourself. Its just that my friend came to me with ideas for a video game. I told him I could actually program it. We took it seriously and got a bunch of people in on it. I have a 3d rad that works well enough and uses a c++ like code for object behavior. We have good programmers, writers, conventional artists, and a desperate lack of 3d artwork. :rolleyes: I'm just not really sure how to resolve the situation so I'm taking stabs at anything that has remotely to do with 3d art. We're mostly doing it for fun and we don't really have any serious cash to put towards the game so the situation is looking almost hopeless now.

ah i see, well give rhino a try it might be just what you need i believe its fairly easy to use also, the guy I work with is only 18 believe it or not and he is great at using it to do our 3d artwork.

$800 I have not, but I will look at the evaluation version. All I need are the model files in .3ds or .x format and I have model converters. It would be nice if it can make animations in .x and .3ds as well.

yeah it is a bit pricey good tho, i think you can do most things with the evaluation version.

See how helpful every one is in this forum??? Indeed, they hit the nail on the head. All within this forum shine. We do get the occasional black hole, but they tend to gravitate into nothingness. (oooooooo I'm encompassing such a universal feel here) How did you come about your alias????

the story on the name is a long one, but here goes :)


A couple of years ago, about 1996 ish a friend from the internet who I met a few times showed me a game called Half-Life, and at the time I didn't really have a name to use on the net so I choose "Agent X" but over the years I got bored of that name, and change it a few times, and then came the day when I no longer played Half-Life and just hovered about on msn and icq and the occasional irc channel.

I felt the need for a more friendly/nicer name and Moon-Light seemed to fit nicely and it was one I quite liked also, people speak to me much more than they used to with the old one, that is mostly due to the fact that they think i am female believe it or not :) but its a good ice breaker for talking to people on the internet and that kind of stuff.

I love it here :kissy: your all so friendly and nice, there is lots of different characters of people here, thank you for making me feel so welcome and you have done a great job with the site Diva, I is very impressed with it all :)
