Well I broke down and decided to try grocery shopping on line. There are some pro's and con's to it though. For those of you that hate to step foot into a grocery store (or any store for that matter) this is the thing for you. I found it to be more trouble than it was worth though. I personally enjoy going to the grocery store. I like going up and down all the isles and looking at everything. The problem is, I buy everything too! Shopping on line takes just as much time to do on line as it does to get into your car and drive there. The one thing I did like about it was being able to go to my pantry and see what I needed instead of standing there in the store trying to remember if I needed it. It seems like 9 times out of 10 I would buy what I didn't need and didn't buy what I did need. The coolest thing about this was having the groceries delivered to your door and they unload it for you! The only thing I had to do was put it away. A plus!

Has anybody else tried this? What was your experience like? I'm finding every year that I'm doing more and more Christmas shopping on line and I've got to say, it's nice! No crowds, no searching for parking and no carrying a ton of packages up and down a mall!

Well, I'm off to the grocery store now, because there were a few things I forgot to order.

Good lord! I am glad to see a woman finally admitting to doing that. My momma used to get so mad at us for always forgetting something. She dragged my daddy one time all the way back to the store, chewed him out all the way down the aisles and came home without the milk that he originally forgot. My daddy just sat and smiled when she realized it. Heh.

I always forget things at the grocery store. I've been known to spend $300 on one trip and when I get home I realize that I STILL forgot something!!

I'm the queen of lists, I almost never forget what I've set out to purchase. Money leaving my hands is serious business ;)

My aunt bought groceries online and found it to be quite a rewarding experience...they picked out the best of their fruit selections and were lovely and friendly.

Over here, on-line grocery shopping is still very much in the pre-ages so hard to tell. How does it work price-wise?

I hate shopping. That's probably why my apartment is filled with condiments. The minute I walk into a grocery store I get into this "Get out of here NOW!" mode. Everything started looking like something I could pick up later.

You know I would eat something before I go to the store, but dang I end up buying junk food because i'm starving by the time I get out of there........

My mom does the exact same thing, Red....

Me: "What in God's name is all this?"

Mom: "Oh, just some various snacks for us during the week and to toss in our lunches...you know."

Me: *stares at the piles of cookies, crackers, and snack cakes and curses his commitment to healthiness*

Stepdad: "Cool! Oreos!"

Me: "shit." *grabs five Oreos and a tall glass of milk*

I've never had any experience with Online Grocery shopping, and I don't think I'd like to have one. As a general rule, I hate shopping, the exception being getting groceries.

I love wandering around the grocery store by my place, seeing what's on sale, what's new, and looking at what I might want to have for dinner for the next couple of days. It's the only shopping experience I don't mind, and by some miracle, I rarely come home with junk food at all. I have a sweet tooth that would make Ooter from the Simpsons turn Red with envy, but I always seem to come home without treats... Well, except for the occassional case of beer that is... :p

I buy most of my electricals/media online now, it's usually cheaper and you can view so much more with ease.

Groceries are a mixed kettle of fish. Most places have a significant delivery charge, and being a man who only buys for himself it's not always worth it. Another problem is that I can't think what to buy, and don't end up getting much. Also, the fruit and veg they pick can be dodgy or about to go rotten. That said, it is terribly convenient, and when it's pissing down outside and I can't be bothered to leave the house, it's great.

Jen can't believe all the junk food I get but that doesn't stop her from doing what you do, grabbing a handful while she is scolding me with her mouth stuffed full of cookies..

The pleasure of junk food........
